Abstract
509,512. Cases and covers for couplings. BAIN, R., and ALLDAY, N. Feb. 3, 1938. No. 3366. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVII] A removable cover for electric switches, plug and socket connections, fuses or junction boxes, comprises two parts, on the main part being flexible metal lugs for receiving fixing screws. A main part a of the cover has a rectangular aperture through which a switch c is accessible and which is enclosed by a second part d of the cover with a slot e through which a dolly f projects. Each lug g is fixed in a recess k by overturned parts i of a crosspiece h engaging each face of the coverplate a. The part a is secured to screws m in the base of the box, by screws j which pass through holes in lugs y and the part d of the cover is secured by screws n which pass through holes p in lugs g and screw into lugs o each of which is upturned from one of the crosspieces h. The flexibility of the lugs minimises breaking of the cover.
