491,033. Ventilating painting-booths. MATTHEWS & YATES, Ltd., and YATES, W. March 17, 1937, No. 7878. [Class 137] A fan e draws air from the cabinet or booth c in which the spraying or painting is done, through a perforated table b, and wood-wool filter a, and delivers it partly to the atmosphere through a shaft f controlled by a valve g, and partly back into the cabinet through a delivery passage h. The walls i of the opening in front of the cabinet are directed inwards, and the air flow is regulated by hinged flaps i<1>. As only a part of the air is discharged, the main body passing through the cabinet is not unduly cold, and a gentle air flow is maintained past the operator into the cabinet. A fire-extinguishing sprinkler d is provided.
