Abstract

440,234. Fuel-injection pumps. CLAUSEN, C. H., 75, Frejgatan, Stockholm. March 19, 1935, No. 8540. Convention date, March 20, 1934. [Class 102 (i)] The delivery valve 3 of a fuel-injection pump is provided with an extension fitting the end of the cylinder 7 and controlling the ports 8, 9. The injection is ended by the connection of the passage 9 through the groove 10 to the suction port 2. Further movement of the pump plunger 1 causes delivery to the port 9 whilst the pressure in the delivery pipe is released through the port 8 to prevent drip. The port 9 may communicate with other sources of low pressure and the valve described may be employed in addition to a normal delivery valve.
