Abstract
385,823. Vehicle bodies. JOHANET, H. L. L., (Representative of VIZCAYA, J. DE), 39, Avenue de St-Cloud, Versailles, France. April 25, 1932, No. 11831. Convention date, April 23, 1931. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i).] In vehicles of the kind comprising a number of separate sections assembled end to end there is provided at each joint between adjacent sections means for fixing said sections to the chassis of the vehicle independently of the fixing means between other adjacent sections. The independent sections b comprising panels c and cornice portions b<1> are provided with lateral flanges whereby adjacent sections are secured together by bolts or rivets, rubber cords being interposed if desired. The assembled sections are secured to the chassis members a by means of transverse bars e, a horizontal gusset plate m interposed between the bars e and the chassis members a and gusset plates n, o. The roof panel k is secured in place by means of flanges and also preferably by means of hoops l secured to the sections b. End panels j are provided together with doors f and front piece b<10>. The roof k may be a slidable or removable one.
