Abstract

367,284. Pressure-regulating valves. PINTSCH AKT.-GES., J., 71, Andreasstrasse, Berlin. June 29, 1931, No. 18774. Convention date, July 31, 1930. [Class 135.] A diaphragm-actuated pressure-regulating valve has the controlling pressure taken from a Venturi throat in the outlet conduit formed by inserting a stream-line body 21 in that conduit. In the form shown in the Figures the body 21 is held in position by a pair of arms 26, 27 with expanding springy parts and is formed with an annular groove 22 connected by a passage 23.to a passage 24 in the casing. The passage 24 leads to an actuating chamber 17 between a pair of diaphragms 16, 18 loaded by a weight 19 and coupled to a valve member 14. In a modification the streamline bodv forms part of the valve member or is secured thereto and may co-operate with a contraction in the conduit.
