Abstract

351,829. Pipe joints. HART, R., 17, Whitethorn Avenue, Burnage, Manchester. Sept. 15, 1930, No. 27449. [Class 99 (i).] In a joint between a lead 4 pipe 4 and a pass &c. pipe 3 of the kind in which the end of the pipe 4 is flanged over a ferrule 8 mounted thereupon and this flanged part is clamped between the said ferrule and a sleeve 5 screwed on the end of the pipe 3 by a nut 7, the sleeve 5 is formed with an internal annular ledge 6 against which the pipe 3 is adapted to abut. The nut may be provided with an annular projection 9 to engage a recess 10 in the ferrule 8.
