Wire fabrics.-Spring surfaces for mattresses and seats are built up of wire links made by doubling a length of wire into a loop b at its mid-length and bending the ends outwardly tc form a T-shaped link with a hook d on one arm and an eye e on the other. In a modification, shown in Fig. 11, these arms are formed by doubling the wire on itself, and the free ends are extended to form a cruciform link with a terminal hook p.
