Abstract

314,707. Turner & Co., Ltd., L., and Robertson, C. Aug 7, 1928. Garters; stocking suspenders. - In garters of the type which are connected to an ordinary stocking suspender, means are provided for increasing the grip of the garter on the wearers leg and various constructions are employed for making the connection to the suspender. As shown in Fig. 1, elastic warp threads 6 are exposed by floating on the inside of an elastic web, and enhance the friction grip of the garter. A continuous cord or band 3 which forms a series of loops serves for connection to the button grip of the suspender strap. In other constructions the loops are replaced by buttonhole tabs, or by a strip of material which may be provided with buttonholes.
