Tension arrangements; thread guides. -A tension arrangement comprising adjustable rods 4, 5 is arranged between the creel bobbins 3 and the uptake rod 1 or roller of doubling - machines to prevent corkscrewing and uneven doubling, and to facilitate doubling at a higher speed. The rods are carried bv a bracket 6 adjustably mounted on a rod 7 and secured bv a screw, so that the deflection and the tension of the yarn may be varied.
