Shade - holders. - In an adjustable lamp-shade holder for electric, oil or gas lamps, of the type such as is described in Specification 8459/84, in which the top can be raised or lowered by the use of hinged links so as to allow the shade - holder to be used with lamp shades of various sizes, the upwardly projecting arms b are formed in one with or rigidly attached to the main support a and are connected by one or more short pivoted links c to depending arms e formed in one with or rigidly attached to the top f. The hinged links may be combined with one or more telescopic supports, and locking-devices may be used on each or any of the hinged links.
