Fire extinguishing and preventing in aircraft; sprinkling apparatus and systems, non-automatic. -In aeroplanes &c., tanks containing a non- supporter of combustion are disposed immediately adjacent the engine so that they are ruptured in the event of a crash. Tanks 14, 27 immediately behind the engine, respectively supply the agent to a cage of perforated pipes 5 surrounding the fuel reservoir. Air under pressure is supplied through valves 19.
