Abstract

Curtain-rods.-Relates to curtain-suspenders comprising spirally coiled lengths of wire connected together, and consists in means whereby, when the lengths are joined together, the equivalent of a rod of uniform external diameter is produced. The separate pieces of coiled wire may be of different lengths, so as to adapt the suspender to windows of different widths without overstretching. According to one form, Fig. 1, three or more lengths of spiral wire 1, 2, 3 of the same diameter are connected by short pieces 5, 5<1> of coiled wire screwed into the ends of the main lengths. The end pieces 1, 3 are provided with eyes 4 for attachment to the window. In another construction, Fig. 4, the connecting- pieces consist of metal parts screwed into the ends of the lengths of coiled wire and provided with male and female threaded parts 8<1>, 7<1> respectively. These couplings may be used in a curtain-suspender made of two or more lengths.
