Abstract
1415943 Polyamide composite fibres ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 27 July 1973 [27 July 1972] 35862/73 Heading B5B Crimpable fibres are obtained by eccentrically extruding a homogeneous polyamide and a random copolyamide, drawing the fibre, heat relaxing the filament so that the random copolyamide does not exhibit a crystalline structure as shown by X-ray diffraction and to develop part of the latent crimp. Suitable homogeneous polyamides are polycaproamide, polyhexamethylene adipamide, polyundecamide and the random copolyamide is a copolymer of #-caprolactam (I) and hexamethylene diammonium adipate (II), of (I), (II) and hexamethylene diammonium terephthalate (III), of (I), (II) and a salt (IV) of hexamethylene diamine and dodecandicarboxylic acid, of (II), (III) and hexamethylene diammonium sebacate or a copolymer of II, (III) and IV.
