Abstract
1353283 Washing machines EM D'HOOGE NV 25 July 1972 '[4 Aug 1971] 34769/72 Heading D1A [Also in Division E2] Each slidable access door (23), 24, 25 of a cylindrical washing machine drum 2 has on one edge recessed members 29 which are slidable under half-cylindrical portions 37 (Fig. 11) of a shaft 34 mounted on the drum shell and are held, locking the door, on rotation of the shaft 34 when the portions 37 occupy the recesses 30 of the members 29. The three doors as shown slide in channelsection guides 12, 13 and each has a bent back edge 28 (Fig. 6) engageable when the door is closed with a bent back edge 19 of the corresponding opening in the drum. The shafts 34 are preferably rotatable by arms 35, 36 and mounted in blocks 31, 32.
