Abstract

1284349 Amplitude limiters TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 28 Oct 1970 51189/70 Heading H3T An amplitude limiter 37 comprises two parallel connected diodes D 11 , D 12 of opposite polarities in shunt with the output of an amplifier 33 and two serially connected diodes D 13 , D 14 of opposite polarities connected in series with the output, biasing means R 4 , R 5 , C 2 on diodes D 13 , D 14 being such that the impedance of the series diodes increases with increasing signal. The limiter presents a substantially constant input impedance to the output of the amplifier. Chokes 41, 42, by-pass any low frequencies. The amplifier may be of common base, collector or emitter configuration.
