1278673 Multi-lens cameras KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO Ltd 19 June 1969 [20 June 1968] 54625/70 Divided out of 1278672 Heading G2A A multi-lens camera has a number of lenses 20 closely spaced in a line, a movable light shield 23 located in the focal plane and having apertures 24 corresponding to the lenses, and a number of bellows systems 22 so that each lens 20 and its corresponding aperture 24 is isolated in a selfcontained light-tight compartment. The film 29 winds off a supply spool 27 on to a take-up spool 28, and is guided round sets of rollers 26, 25, the latter set bringing the film close to the apertures 24. In operation, the shield 23 is moved to the right from the position shown, during which time the film is driven at a suitable speed. Thus the discrete images formed on the film will have an image width greater than the spaces between the lenses. The total exposure time will be of the order of milliseconds, so that the camera may be used for making a hologram of a rapidly moving object by the method described in Specification 1278672.
