Abstract

1,222,570. Nose clip and mouthpiece combination. O. H. DRAGER [trading as DRAGERWERK, HEINR & BERNH. DRAGER]. 28 Oct., 1968 [27 Oct., 1967], No. 51100/68. Heading A5T. A combination mouthpiece and noseclip comprises a breathing apparatus mouthpiece, a supporting stirrup 9 mounted on the mouthpiece by guides such that its limbs extend vertically and are vertically displaceable, and a nose clip supported by the stirrup. The guides may comprise surfaces 6 with grooves and two lugs 7 with slots 8 or they may comprise a plurality of guide lugs 7 with bores 8 through which ends 9a are inserted. The stirrups may have a heat insulating covering, or the guide surfaces 6 and lugs 7 may comprise a material which is a poor heat conductor. The nose clip may be mounted on stirrup 9 by means of a double strap 10 which may comprise a heat insulating material. A plug 15 is provided for closing the gas duct in the mouthpiece.
