Abstract

1,204,927. Fuzes. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 15 Feb., 1968 [17 Feb., 1967; 17 March, 1967], No. 7565/68. Heading F3A. A detonating arrangement comprises a housing 9 and a detonator 1 which, whilst ignited, is capable of being displaced towards the end of the housing to a position where it can ignite an explosive charge 4. The ignited detonator is displaced by the combustion gases of a propellant charge 10, which gases, in the meantime, have ignited the detonator through a short delay charge. The propellant charge is ignited with an igniter charge 11 which is electrically ignited by means of an electrode 12 or a striker (24, Fig. 3, not shown). The housing 9 comprises a rotor which is rotated to align the rotor with a weakened portion 5 of a shutter 3. A spring can be used in place of the propellant charge to displace the detonator.
