1,067,391. Plastics bags. ROBINSON PLASTIC FILMS Ltd. Nov. 12, 1963 [Nov. 12, 1962], No. 42640/62. Heading B8K. A heat-sealable plastics, e.g. polythene, bag has a back panel, a front panel 2 and a strip C, joined at their edges by heat seals 4, 5. The strip 3 may retain a flap 7, which forms an extension of the back panel, when it is folded over to close the bag. In another embodiment the strip carries information and can be torn from the bag. In a further embodiment two strips are provided which can both be torn away from the bag at one side and used to tie the mouth of the bag after filling. The strips may be of different heat-sealable material and colour from the bag.
