Abstract

1,067,267. Floodlighting devices. ABACUS ENGINEERING Ltd. Dec. 14, 1965 [Sept. 16, 1964], No. 37731/64. Heading F4R. A bar 4 carrying a number of lamps 5 is suspended by a cable 9 p assing over a pulley 3 mounted at the top of a column 1 the cable being secured to an anch or plate 10 at the base of the column. The plate 10 hss an extension 11 having a series of holes through one of which a pin 13 extending between cross members 12 passes. When it is desired to lower the lamps, e.g. for cleaning, the cable of a portable winch is secured to the plate 10 and the pin removed. The lamps are fed by cables 17 also passing over grooves in the pulley 3 and terminating in connection boxes 15 on the plate 10. The bar 4 may be steadied by arms 6 having cross members 7 at their lower ends engaging a rail 8 on the column.
