[Also in Division F1] In apparatus for mixing flowing liquids in proportions, of the kind in which the pressuredifference across a Venturi 2 or other constriction in a flow 1 of a primary liquid is used to expel a secondary liquid from a container, there are two containers 5a, 5b of secondary liquid arranged in parallel with a change-over valve 9 operated automatically upon either of them becoming empty. As shown, each container 5a, 5b is divided by a flexible diaphragm 6 into a chamber 15 connected to the upstream side of the Venturi 2 and a chamber 16 filled with the additive and connected to the throat of the Venturi through the change-over valve 9, which is operated mechanically, electrically or hydraulically by the action of the diaphragm 6 on the feeler 11 when the chamber 16 is empty. The container may then be isolated by the shut-off cock 4a or 4b, and re-filled. There may be an additional constriction in the delivery conduit 10.
