Abstract

A primary lever (101) has an integral fixed jaw (106) and carries an oscillating jaw (105). An independently connected knuckle joint mechanism further links the jaw (105) to the lever (101) and comprises an auxiliary lever (115) forming a locking lever and an adjustable length screw mechanism (116) pivotally joined to the levers (101, 115). The jaw (105) is articulated on the lever (115) by an integral extension (125) below the hinge (110) between jaw and the lever (101), w.r.t. the operative end (111) of jaw (105).
