Abstract
Transmission of analogue information is effected by pulse coded carrier frequency transmission between two terminals connected by symmetric or coaxial cables. Correction is applied to counter-act the frequency response characteristics of the transmission channels. Pulses are converted in an input converter (40) from two trains of unipolar pulses into two trains of bipolar pulses and are sent to two input terminals of a symmetrical double digital modulator to be modulated with a carrier frequency derived from the timing oscillations. A base band regenerator (50) contains an adjustable distortion corrector (51) as well as the timing oscillator (56). This corrector circuit compensates for the frequency response of the transmission channels.
