Abstract

The container is for the transport of bodies or coffins in the most hygienic conditions, and comprises a housing of laminated metal or injection-moulded plastic, arranged to allow insertion of body or coffin. It can comprise an external thermally insulated housing, and an internal one with skids or rollers for a stretcher or an impermeable trough. Mountings can be provided for a refrigeration gas bottle in use and a spare one, together with gauges for the internal pressure, gas bottle pressure etc., and a release valve for the internal pressure, on a door with handwheel-operated lock.
