Abstract
A method of anti-adherent treatment of kitchen utensils with a glassy surface and which can be used for cooking food, the surface in contact with food comprising a coating to which they do not adhere, being practically unalterable under the influence of chemical agents and mechanics to which the aforementioned utensils are exposed, characterized the procedure because it consists in passing the utensil through the following successive operations: a) cooking utensils are prepared with, at least, the glassy inner surface, which can be exposed to fire, b) these utensils are heated to a temperature high enough to at least make the surface to be coated sufficiently reactive to the products that are sprayed or evaporated on it and not so high as to cause the decomposition of the product which will be deposited before its contact with the surface to be treated; c) exposing the glassy surface thus heated to a jet or vapors of a compound, the droplets of which decompose on contact with the heated surface, leaving an oxide deposit fixed thereon; d) subjecting the utensil coated with an oxide layer to a treatment of higher value than the first one for approximately 1 hour to improve the bond between the glass support and the oxide layer, without the temperature reaching a point where it runs the risk of deforming the utensil.
