Other analysis such as determining remaining capacitor health, signal strength, and component functionality may also be performed. In some examples, where the device is batterypowered, wireless charging of the battery can be performed.
- an expert may perform analysis outside of expert device 1210, which can then be entered into expert device 1210. Thereafter, expert device 1210 can then communicate with central device 1206 at step 1320 to relay any additional data and/or analysis performed at step 1318. Thereafter, all of the analysis and data derived from central device 1206, central device database 1208, and expert device 1210 can be communicated to external device 1204 at step 1322, where a user can view the data and analysis to make a decision regarding the joint in which sensor 1202 is installed, or can receive an instruction containing a decision.
- This method offers the benefit of providing measurement data from within a joint containing a prosthesis that can be used to detect the presence of an infection.
- the data can be sent to multiple devices, such as an external device, a central device, a central device database, and an expert device, to provide detailed and in-depth analysis on the data retrieved, such as comparing the data to data received from other sensors, and analysis performed by experts possessing knowledge not readily available, to determine the presence of an infection or other problem.
- Method examples described herein may be machine or computerimplemented at least in part. Some examples may include a computer-readable medium or machine-readable medium encoded with instructions operable to configure an electronic device to perform methods as described in the above examples.
- An implementation of such methods may include code, such as microcode, assembly language code, a higher-level language code, or the like. Such code may include computer readable instructions for performing various methods. The code may form portions of computer program products. Further, in an example, the code may be tangibly stored on one or more volatile, non-transitory, or non-volatile tangible computer-readable media, such as during execution or at other times.
- Examples of these tangible computer-readable media may include, but are not limited to, hard disks, removable magnetic disks, removable optical disks (e.g., compact disks and digital video disks), memory cards or sticks, random access memories (RAMs), read only memories (ROMs), and the like.

Claims (13)
- Implantierbarer Sensor (100), der konfiguriert ist, um in einen intramedullären Kanal (202) eingeführt zu werden, der implantierbare Sensor umfassend:einen Primäreinsatz (102), der ein distales Ende (116), ein proximale Ende (114) gegenüber dem distalen Ende und eine mittlere Bohrung (144), die sich von einer Öffnung (166) in dem distalen Ende zu dem proximalen Ende erstreckt, beinhaltet;einen Sekundäreinsatz (104), der in der mittleren Bohrung durch die Öffnung aufgenommen werden kann, der Sekundäreinsatz umfassend:einen Körper, der abnehmbar mit einer Innenfläche der mittleren Bohrung in Eingriff gebracht werden kann; undein Sensormodul (106), das in dem Körper angeordnet werden kann und konfiguriert ist, um ein Sensorsignal abhängig von einem ersten erfassten Parameter zu erzeugen, der indikativ für eine Infektion ist; undeine Antenne (118), die in der mittleren Bohrung angeordnet ist, wobei die Antenne konfiguriert zu Folgendem ist: Übertragen eines drahtlosen Signals abhängig von dem Sensorsignal, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Sekundäreinsatz ferner eine Kappe (108) umfasst, die lösbar an dem Sekundäreinsatz befestigt werden kann,wobei die Kappe und das Sensormodul von dem Sekundäreinsatz lösbar sind, wenn der Sekundäreinsatz in Gebrauch und in den intramedullären Kanal eingesetzt ist.
- Implantierbarer Sensor nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Sensor eines von einem Temperatursensor, einem pH-Sensor, einem Sauerstoffsensor, einem Kohlendioxidsensor und einem Glukosesensor umfasst.
- Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-2, wobei die Antenne konfiguriert ist, um Energie von einer externen Quelle zu erhalten und die Energie an den Sensor zu verteilen.
- Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3, wobei die Kappe ferner Folgendes umfasst:
eine Vielzahl von Schenkeln (138), die proximal von einer proximalen Oberfläche der Kappe hervorstehen und konfiguriert sind, um die Sensorkapsel zu halten. - Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4, wobei der Sekundäreinsatz ferner Folgendes umfasst:einen zweiten Sensor, der konfiguriert ist, um ein zweites Sensorsignal abhängig von einem zweiten erfassten Parameter zu erzeugen, der indikativ für eine Infektion ist; undeinen dritten Sensor, der konfiguriert ist, um ein drittes Sensorsignal abhängig von einem dritten erfassten Parameter zu erzeugen, der indikativ für eine Infektion ist.
- Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-5, wobei die Antennenspule innerhalb des proximalen Abschnitts positionierbar ist, um einen Spulenwinkel in Bezug auf das Sensormodul zu ändern.
- Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-6, wobei der Sekundäreinsatz ferner Folgendes umfasst:
eine Lichtleitfaser (143), die mit dem Sensor verbunden ist und sich durch einen Umfang des Sekundäreinsatzes erstreckt, um die Lichtleitfaser in einer Gelenkhöhle angrenzend an den intramedullären Kanal freizulegen, um abhängig von den erfassten optischen Bedingungen der Gelenkhöhle ein optisches Signal an den Sensor zu senden. - Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-7, wobei die Kappe ferner Folgendes umfasst:
einen Durchgang (152), der das Sensormodul dem gemeinsamen Hohlraum aussetzt, wobei der Durchgang die optische Faser aufnehmen kann. - Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-8, wobei die mittlere Bohrung ferner eine Vielzahl von Nuten (168) umfasst, die sich axial entlang einer Oberfläche der mittleren Bohrung erstrecken, und wobei der Sekundäreinsatz ferner eine Vielzahl von Rippen (158) umfasst, die von einer äußeren Oberfläche des Sekundäreinsatzes radial nach außen hervorstehen und sich axial entlang der äußeren Oberfläche erstrecken, wobei die Vielzahl von Rippen mit der Vielzahl von Nuten zusammenpassen kann, um eine Drehung des Sekundäreinsatzes in Bezug auf den Primäreinsatz zu verhindern.
- Sensormodul nach einem der Ansprüche 1-9, wobei der Sekundäreinsatz ferner Folgendes umfasst:
einen Kommunikationschip (130), der mit der Antenne und dem Sensor verbunden ist, wobei der Kommunikationschip konfiguriert ist, um das Sensorsignal zu verarbeiten und Leistung von der Antenne an den Sensor zu verteilen. - Implantierbarer Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-10, wobei der Sekundäreinsatz eine Rastverbindung (120) umfasst, die an der mittleren Bohrung befestigt werden kann, und wobei die Rastverbindung eine Vielzahl von geraden Armen umfasst, wobei jeder Arm der Vielzahl von Armen einen Vorsprung (123) aufweist, der sich radial von einem proximalen Ende von jedem Arm erstreckt.
- System, das den Sensor nach einem der Ansprüche 1-11 beinhaltet, das System ferner umfassend:
eine externe Rechenvorrichtung (1204), umfassend:eine Kommunikationsschaltung, die konfiguriert ist, um das über die Antenne übertragene Sensorsignal drahtlos zu empfangen und der Antenne Energie zuzuführen;einen Prozessor, der kommunikativ mit der Kommunikationsschaltung gekoppelt und konfiguriert ist, um das Sensorsignal zu verarbeiten und eine grafische Benutzeroberfläche abhängig von dem Sensorsignal zu erzeugen; und eine Anzeigevorrichtung, die kommunikativ mit dem Prozessor gekoppelt und konfiguriert ist, um die grafische Benutzeroberfläche anzuzeigen. - System nach Anspruch 12, ferner umfassend:eine mittlere Vorrichtung in Kommunikation mit der externen Rechenvorrichtung, wobei die mittlere Vorrichtung konfiguriert ist, um die von der externen Rechenvorrichtung empfangenen Daten zu analysieren und die Analyse an die externe Rechenvorrichtung zurückzugeben; undeine Expertenvorrichtung in Kommunikation mit der externen Rechenvorrichtung und/oder der mittleren Vorrichtung, wobei die Expertenvorrichtung zu Folgendem konfiguriert ist: Analysieren von Daten, die von der externen Rechenvorrichtung und/oder der mittleren Vorrichtung empfangen werden; undAnalysieren einer Analyse, die von der mittleren Vorrichtung empfangen wird.
