Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drain assembly for a cistern according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Drain fittings have become known from the prior art. In connection with rimless toilet bowls, drain fittings have also become known which have throttle elements. For example, the DE 20 2016 101 412 a cistern arrangement with a throttle element, which leads to a changed purge flow.
- Some of the embodiments of the DE 20 2016 101 412 show throttle element inside the cistern.
- the arrangement of the throttle elements in the interior of the cistern is disadvantageous with regard to the installation of the drain fitting because its external dimensions are increased.
- the arrangement of the throttle elements in the drain pipe is disadvantageous because it is very difficult to access.
- Another disadvantage arises with the latter arrangement according to the DE 20 2016 101 412 due to the separate assembly of the throttle element in the tube and due to the lack of fine adjustment due to the design of the throttling. With regard to the assembly, it is possible, for example, that this is forgotten and can only be checked in a complex manner.
- the invention has for its object to provide a drain assembly with a throttle element, which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
- a drain fitting arrangement for a cistern comprises a valve body with a sealing element cooperating with a valve seat, the valve body with the sealing element being movable from a rest position in the flushing position and from the flushing position to the rest position along a central axis is a valve housing, in which the valve body is movably mounted, and a mounting unit with a continuous drain opening, wherein said valve seat extends around the drain opening and, viewed in the installed position, the mounting unit has a bearing section for mounting the valve housing above the valve seat.
- the drain fitting arrangement further comprises an adjustable throttle element for the adjustable throttling of the flushing water flow flowing through the discharge opening.
- the holder unit comprises a receptacle for the throttle element in the drain opening, the receptacle being arranged below the valve seat, as seen in the installed position, and the throttle element being insertable into said receptacle.
- the arrangement of the throttle element in the mounting unit or in the receptacle, which is arranged in the mounting unit, has the advantage that the size of the drain fitting that is to be inserted into the cistern is not increased by the throttle element. Rather, the throttle element is part of the mounting unit.
- the throttle element can preferably be used when throttling is required. This means that a further advantage comes from the fact that the throttle element can be inserted into the drain opening as required.
- the plumber can basically remove the throttle element from the drain opening. This is particularly advantageous if the configuration is such that no throttling is required.
- An adjustable throttle element is understood to be adjustable in such a way that the throttle effect of the throttle element can be changed.
- the throttle element is preferably arranged substantially completely inside the drain opening. This means that the throttle element in the inserted state lies completely inside the drain opening and does not protrude from the drain opening, or does so only insignificantly. This creates a compact arrangement.
- the throttle element is preferably formed separately from the mounting unit and can be inserted into the receptacle.
- the receptacle is preferably arranged on the side wall delimiting the drain opening.
- the receptacle is preferably arranged essentially entirely inside the drain opening, which has the advantage that the mounting unit as such is also very compact.
- the drain opening preferably has a circular cylindrical cross section and extends along a central axis.
- the valve housing and the drain opening are preferably in relation to one another in such a way that the respective central axes are collinear with one another.
- the throttle element is preferably inserted into the receptacle against the flow direction of the flushing water through the drain opening. An insertion in the direction of flow would also be conceivable.
- the throttle element preferably extends from the side wall facing the drain opening into the cross section of the drain opening, the throttle element extending radially at most by 20% of the diameter of the drain opening into the drain opening. This means that a central area of 80% of the diameter remains free.
- the arrangement of the throttle element only outside the central region, that is to say in the edge region of the drain opening, has the advantage that the flow of the rinsing water in the region of the throttle element is not adversely affected too much. This allows constant flow results to be achieved, which is great for setting Advantage is.
- the throttle element is particularly preferably formed in two parts with a first throttle part and a second throttle part, the first throttle part being securely connectable to the receptacle and the second throttle part being adjustable, in particular pivotable, connected to the first throttle part along an adjustment movement.
- a fixed connection between the first throttle part and the receptacle is understood to mean that the connection is non-rotatable and that the connection can be separated.
- the first throttle part can therefore be inserted into the receptacle and removed from the receptacle.
- the two throttle parts are particularly preferably of identical or identical design, in particular with regard to the shape and the material. This has the advantage that production or warehousing becomes easier. However, it is particularly preferred to design the two throttle parts in two colors, which increases the contrast between the two parts, so that the setting is easier to recognize.
- the throttle part preferably comprises a ring section, from which throttle segments protrude from the ring section in the direction of the center.
- the throttle segments preferably protrude into the drain opening at right angles to the side wall of the drain opening and develop the corresponding throttle effect there.
- the throttle segments are preferably only present at the edge of the drain opening and protrude from the edge into the drain opening, in such a way that the throttle segments do not extend into the center, but preferably extend into the above area.
- At least two, particularly preferably at least three or exactly three throttle segments are arranged per throttle part.
- the throttle segments are then at equal distances from one another. All throttle elements are preferably of the same size.
- the distance between two adjacent throttle segments is preferably the same size as the throttle segment itself. In this way, a throttle segment that rotates completely around the central axis and is composed of several throttle segments can be provided at maximum displacement.
- the throttle segments of the second throttle part are preferably essentially covered by the throttle segments of the first throttle part.
- the first throttle segments essentially have a throttle effect and the second throttle segments are behind the first, without a significant throttle effect.
- the throttle segments of the second throttle part can be displaced with the second throttle part in such a way that the degree of coverage decreases with increasing displacement, the throttling effect of the throttle element increasing overall. In other words, this means that the second throttle segments are pushed forward from behind the first throttle segments and thus also provide resistance for the water flowing through.
- the second throttle part is preferably fastened to the first throttle part via at least one latching tab.
- the latching tab preferably engages one of the throttle segments.
- the at least one latching tab is preferably designed such that the second throttle part can be pivoted relative to the first throttle part.
- the latching tab is preferably designed such that when the two throttle parts are set, no longitudinal movement between the two throttle parts is possible.
- the second throttle part is preferably infinitely adjustable to the first throttle part.
- the second throttle part can be set in determined increments to the first throttle part. This means that the second throttle part can be gradually adjusted to the first throttle part.
- the two throttle parts comprise counter-acting stop elements, the stop elements determining the relative movement between the Limit both throttle parts.
- the stop elements serve to limit the movement in a first pivoting direction and allow movement in a second pivoting direction.
- the receptacle preferably has a latching structure with which the throttle element can be connected to the receptacle in a rotationally fixed manner. If the throttle element is formed in two parts, the first throttle part can be connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the latching structure.
- the latching structure particularly preferably comprises a plurality of tines, the tines preferably being arranged uniformly distributed around the circumference of the drain opening.
- the throttle element preferably has a latching structure that matches the latching structure of the receptacle. This means that the two locking structures interlock.
- the throttle element particularly preferably has a locking structure which is identical or has the same design as the locking structure of the receptacle.
- the latching structure preferably comprises at least one latching element or a latching cam. Several locking elements or multiple locking cams are advantageous.
- the mounting unit preferably has lateral inlet openings which, in the installed position, are arranged above the valve seat and essentially below the bearing section. The rinsing water then reaches the drain opening via these inlet openings.
- the mounting unit preferably has a contact section on the outside and in the installed position below the valve seat for installation in a cistern.
- the outside of the contact section is preferably circular-cylindrical and preferably has a receiving groove for receiving a seal.
- a cistern arrangement comprises a drain fitting arrangement as described above and a cistern with an outlet opening, the mounting unit extending into the outlet opening.
- the contact section protrudes into the outlet opening.
- FIG. 1 a perspective view of a drain assembly 1 for a cistern is shown.
- the drain assembly 1 is used for the controlled removal of flushing water from the cistern.
- the drain assembly 1 essentially comprises a valve body 2 with a sealing element 4, which cooperates with a valve seat 3, a valve housing 5 in which the valve body 2 is movably mounted, and a mounting unit 6 with a continuous drain opening 7.
- the mounting unit 6 is used for the connection of the valve housing 5 with the cistern and through the drain opening 7, the rinsing water flows out of the cistern.
- the bracket unit projects into or through an opening in the cistern.
- the cistern is not shown in the figures.
- the valve body 2 can be moved with the sealing element 4 from the valve seat 3 along a central axis M from a rest position to a flushing position and from the flushing position to the rest position.
- Appropriate control elements are available for movement.
- the control elements have the reference number 22.
- the control elements 22 can be designed in different ways. In the Figure 1 the valve body is in the Rinse position in which water can flow out through the drain opening 7.
- the drain fitting arrangement 1 comprises a throttle element 10, which can be used if required, for throttling the flushing water flow flowing through the drain opening 7.
- the throttle element 10 is in the Figures 2 to 4 shown in more detail.
- the holder unit 6 comprises a receptacle 9 for the throttle element 10, the receptacle 9 being arranged below the valve seat 3 in the installed position of the drain fitting arrangement 1. This means that the throttle element for throttling the flushing water flow flowing out through the discharge opening 7 can be inserted into the receptacle 9 and in turn can be removed from the receptacle 9.
- the receptacle 9 is arranged inside the drain opening 7.
- the receptacle 9 is arranged on the side wall 11 delimiting the drain opening 7.
- the throttle element 10 can thus be inserted into the drain opening 7 and throttles the flushing water flow in the drain opening 7.
- the throttle element 10 is thus connected to the mounting unit 6.
- the receptacle 9 here has a cylindrical section 25 and an end face 26.
- the cylindrical section 25 is provided by the side wall 11 and the end face 26 is oriented essentially at right angles to the side wall 11.
- the throttle element 10 extends from the side wall 11 of the receptacle 9, which faces the drain opening 7, into the cross section of the drain opening 7. That is, the throttle element 10 thus extends from the outer side wall 11 in the direction of the center of the drain opening 7.
- the throttle element 10 extends radially into the drain opening 7 at most by up to 20% of the diameter of the drain opening 7. This means that the throttle element 10 does not extend into the center, but rather is arranged in the edge region of the drain opening 7.
- the throttling is carried out by changing the cross section of the discharge opening 7 in the region of the Throttle element 10, the cross-sectional change being achieved by the throttle element 10 with respect to the cross-section of the discharge opening 7 from the outside.
- the inner cross section of the discharge opening 7 remains unaffected by the throttle element and the flow of the rinse water flow is not disturbed there either.
- the throttle element 10 is formed in two parts.
- the throttle element 10 comprises a first throttle part 12 and a second throttle part 13.
- the first throttle part 12 can be firmly connected to the receptacle 9.
- a fixed connection is understood to mean a non-rotatable connection. This means that the first throttle part 12 can be inserted into the receptacle 9 and is firmly connected to the receptacle 9 in the receptacle 9.
- the first throttle part 12 can be separated from the receptacle 9.
- the second throttle part 13 can be connected to the first throttle part 12.
- the connection is such that the second throttle part 13 can be adjusted with the first throttle part 12 along an adjustment movement.
- the adjustment movement is preferably a pivoting movement.
- the pivoting movement is indicated by the arrow V in the Figure 3 shown.
- the first throttle part 12 is inserted in the receptacle 9 and the second throttle part 13 is connected to the first throttle part 12.
- the second throttle part 13 is shown in its initial position. In the starting position, the second throttle part 13 has only a very slight throttling effect.
- the throttle effect is essentially provided by the first throttle part 12. That is, seen in the direction of flow of the flushing water flow, which in the Figure 3 is represented by the arrow F, essentially the first throttle part 12 provides resistance to the flushing water flow.
- the throttle part 12, 13 comprises a ring section 14.
- the ring section 14 has an outside diameter which essentially corresponds to the inside diameter of the receptacle 9.
- throttle segments 15 each protrude from the ring section 14 in the direction of the center of the ring section 14.
- the throttle segments 15 provide the actual resistance to the flushing water flow and throttle it.
- the throttle segments 15 do not protrude completely from the ring section 14 into the center of the ring section 15, but extend into the interior of the ring section 14 up to a maximum of 20% of the diameter of the drain opening 7.
- the throttle segments 15 of the second throttle part 13 in the starting position are essentially covered by the throttle segments 15 of the first throttle part 12.
- the throttle segments 15 of the first throttle part 12 provide the corresponding resistance.
- the throttle segments 15 of the second throttle part 13 can be displaced with the second throttle part 13 in such a way that the degree of coverage decreases with increasing displacement.
- the throttling effect of the throttle element 10 increases overall.
- the maximum shift is in the Figure 4 shown, in which case the throttle segments 15 of the first throttle part 12 and the throttle segments 15 of the second throttle part 13 preferably provide a ring which completely surrounds the discharge opening 7.
- three throttle segments 15 are arranged at equal distances from one another per throttle part 12, 13. Between each of the three Throttle segments 15 there is an intermediate space 27.
- the angular coverage of intermediate space 27 and throttle segment 15 is preferably the same size.
- the second throttle part 13 is fastened to the first throttle part 12 via at least one locking tab 16.
- the latching tab 16 preferably engages a throttle segment 15. In the embodiment shown, there is one latching tab 16 per throttle segment 15.
- the locking tab 16 of the second throttle part 13 engages around the throttle segment 15 of the first throttle part 12 accordingly.
- the second throttle part 13 can be set in determined increments to the first throttle part 12.
- the throttle segments 15 of the first throttle part 12 have corresponding recesses 23, in which the latching tab 16 engages. There are two recesses per throttle segment.
- the two throttle parts 12, 13 have stop elements 24 acting against one another.
- the stop elements 24 limit the relative movement between the two throttle parts 12, 13.
- the two stop elements 24 provide a stop in the starting position, so that the second throttle part 13 can only be displaced in one direction, namely in the direction of the pivoting movement V relative to the first throttle part .
- the receptacle 9, as in the Figure 2 can be seen, a locking structure 17.
- the locking structure 17 is arranged here in the region of the end face 26. With this locking structure 17, the throttle element 10 can be connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the receptacle 9.
