Definitions
- the invention relates to a film laminate from which bag packaging with integrated film handle can be produced in a tubular bag machine.
- the DE 202009012135 U1 relates to a film laminate and a method of making this laminate from which bag packages are made.
- VFFS tubular bag machines As a tubular bag machine is referred to in the context of the invention, a packaging machine, which operates according to the so-called VFFS (vertical form fill sealing) method.
- VFFS tubular bag machines In a flow wrapper operating according to the VFFS principle, the film laminate is formed into a tube and tube sections are filled with product and sealed with sealing seams. Throughout the process, the web forming the tube is moved vertically downwards.
- VFFS tubular bag machines are primarily used for the packaging of powdered and granulated solids, eg. B. dry food for animals used. They are characterized by high machine speeds and enable economical production and filling of bags for pourable products.
- Pouches that have been molded and filled in VFFS tubular bag machines may have handle punches in the head area which are inserted in the bagging machine during the VFFS process. Disadvantage of this bag packaging is an often difficult combination of the head side mounted Griffausstanzache with opening aids, eg. B. perforations. Also, the design of a simple removal opening is complicated by head-side Griffausstanzache.
- pouches are preferably used, which have a handle loop in a side surface formed as a side fold.
- the handle loop is glued or sealed in the context of the measures known from practice.
- Such handle designs hinder the processing of the film laminate in a VFFS tubular film machine. In most cases, the machine speed of the tubular bag machine is impaired so much by the application of the film handles that it no longer works economically.
- prefabricated bags are used, which are individually fed to a filling machine and filled. The production of these prefabricated bags and their filling is, however, much more expensive than the production and filling of bags in VFFS tubular bag machines.
- the known gusseted bags are prefabricated as a single bag and filled in a separate filling with the packaged goods.
- the bag wall of the gusseted bags consists of a film laminate which has a printable outer film and a sealable film bonded to the outer film.
- a reinforcing sheet has been laminated between the sealable foil and the outer foil, which is glued only to the outer foil.
- the film handle is formed by inserting separating cuts which pass through the outer film and the reinforcing sheet joined to the outer film.
- the sealable inner foil of the packaging remains intact and seals the interior of the pouch packaging.
- the grip loop formed by separating cuts merges integrally at its ends into the bag wall.
- the WO 2008/038308 A1 refers to pouches with integrated handle, which are made of a two-ply foil laminate.
- the film laminate has a printable outer film and a sealable film bonded thereto.
- In the grip area are the outer foil and the inner sealable Film not glued.
- In the outer film Griffausstanzungen be introduced so that the outer film forms a handle loop.
- the handle loop is not reinforced and therefore only suitable for packaging products that have a low weight.
- the invention has for its object to provide a web-shaped material from which bag packaging can be made in VFFS tubular bag systems, which have an integrated film handle.
- the film handle on a side surface of the bag package.
- the inventive film laminate has an outer film, a sealed with this sealable film and a laminated between the outer film and the sealable film and adhered only to the outer film continuous Reinforcement strip on.
- the outer film is a film which forms the outside of the bag from a pouch packaging produced from the film laminate.
- the outer foil is printable.
- the reinforcing strip is narrower than the material web and extends over the entire length of the material web.
- the film laminate according to the invention is suitable for the production of bag packaging with integrated film handle by means of a tubular bag machine, in which the film laminate is formed into a tube and tube sections filled with products and sealed with sealing seams.
- the film handles are formed by inserting separating strips into the outer film of the film laminate and the reinforcing strip connected to the outer film.
- the sealable film remains intact.
- the separating cuts can be introduced into the VFFS tubular bag system or prepared in the material web before they are rolled up into a film roll becomes. It is not possible to insert the separating cuts in the outer foil before it is glued to the sealable foil, since the laminating adhesive would penetrate through the slits and would stick the layers on the roll.
- the reinforcing strip is preferably arranged in a region of the film laminate which is formed in the tubular bag machine into a gusset of the bag packaging.
- the separating cuts for producing the film handles can be introduced by punching into the film laminate or produced by means of a CO 2 laser beam.
- the laser cutting can be used without problems in non-polyolefin films, in particular films of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). PET is easy to cut with CO 2 lasers. In polyolefinic films, laser cutting is problematic because many polyolefins absorb the radiation of the CO 2 laser only weakly and thus the desired cutting effect is absent. If PE / PE composite films are used as film laminate, absorptive active substances are added to the outer film and / or the reinforcing strip to laser. Suitable laser absorptive active substances are, for example, mixed silicates.
- the separating cuts are preferably delimited at their ends by sections which are U-shaped or circular or connect as arcs to a linear section of the separating cuts. Through these sections, the introduction of force is improved by the film handle on the wall surface of the bag packaging.
- the invention also provides a method according to claim 7 for the production of a film laminate from which pouches with integrated handle can be made in a tubular pouch machine.

- a material web of a sealable film is applied to the adhesive layer and pressed in a laminating gap between a laminating roller and a impression roller with the film web and the adhesive layer.
- the laminating gap is fed with a reinforcing strip. This is brought into contact between the printed film web and the sealable film with the adhesive layer.
- the peripheral surface of the impression roller preferably has a depression which is matched to the film thickness and film width of the reinforcing strip so that a uniform pressing pressure prevails in the laminating gap over the entire web width of the film laminate.
- weakening lines or separating cuts for producing film handles can be introduced into the film laminate, which pass through only the outer film and the reinforcing strips connected to the outer film.
- the separating cuts can be introduced by punching into the film laminate.
- the reinforcing strip connected to the outer film and the sealable film are expediently guided over a separating plate on both sides.
- the separating cuts for producing the film handles can alternatively also be produced by means of a CO 2 laser.
- the sealable film of the film laminate is usually made of a polyolefin, in particular polyethylene.
- the absorption capacity of polyethylene for the radiation of a CO 2 laser is low.
- the outer film as well as the reinforcing strip contain, if necessary, laser absorptive substances that laser cutting improve.
- laser absorptive substances are mixed silicates, eg. As lepidolite, porphyr, phonolite or kaolinite.
- a printed film web 1 is coated over its entire surface with a laminating adhesive 2.
- a material web 3 made of a sealable film is applied to the adhesive layer 2 and pressed in a laminating gap 4 between a laminating roller 5 and a impression roller 6 with the film web 1 and the adhesive layer 2.

Description
The invention relates to a film laminate from which bag packaging with integrated film handle can be produced in a tubular bag machine.
As a tubular bag machine is referred to in the context of the invention, a packaging machine, which operates according to the so-called VFFS (vertical form fill sealing) method. In a flow wrapper operating according to the VFFS principle, the film laminate is formed into a tube and tube sections are filled with product and sealed with sealing seams. Throughout the process, the web forming the tube is moved vertically downwards. VFFS tubular bag machines are primarily used for the packaging of powdered and granulated solids, eg. B. dry food for animals used. They are characterized by high machine speeds and enable economical production and filling of bags for pourable products.
Pouches that have been molded and filled in VFFS tubular bag machines may have handle punches in the head area which are inserted in the bagging machine during the VFFS process. Disadvantage of this bag packaging is an often difficult combination of the head side mounted Griffausstanzungen with opening aids, eg. B. perforations. Also, the design of a simple removal opening is complicated by head-side Griffausstanzungen.
Therefore, pouches are preferably used, which have a handle loop in a side surface formed as a side fold. The handle loop is glued or sealed in the context of the measures known from practice. Such handle designs hinder the processing of the film laminate in a VFFS tubular film machine. In most cases, the machine speed of the tubular bag machine is impaired so much by the application of the film handles that it no longer works economically. For numerous pouches, z. As in the pet food area, therefore prefabricated bags are used, which are individually fed to a filling machine and filled. The production of these prefabricated bags and their filling is, however, much more expensive than the production and filling of bags in VFFS tubular bag machines.

The invention has for its object to provide a web-shaped material from which bag packaging can be made in VFFS tubular bag systems, which have an integrated film handle. In particular, it should be possible to provide the film handle on a side surface of the bag package.
The inventive film laminate has an outer film, a sealed with this sealable film and a laminated between the outer film and the sealable film and adhered only to the outer film continuous Reinforcement strip on. The outer film is a film which forms the outside of the bag from a pouch packaging produced from the film laminate. The outer foil is printable. The reinforcing strip is narrower than the material web and extends over the entire length of the material web. The film laminate according to the invention is suitable for the production of bag packaging with integrated film handle by means of a tubular bag machine, in which the film laminate is formed into a tube and tube sections filled with products and sealed with sealing seams. The film handles are formed by inserting separating strips into the outer film of the film laminate and the reinforcing strip connected to the outer film. The sealable film remains intact. The separating cuts can be introduced into the VFFS tubular bag system or prepared in the material web before they are rolled up into a film roll becomes. It is not possible to insert the separating cuts in the outer foil before it is glued to the sealable foil, since the laminating adhesive would penetrate through the slits and would stick the layers on the roll.
The reinforcing strip is preferably arranged in a region of the film laminate which is formed in the tubular bag machine into a gusset of the bag packaging.
The separating cuts for producing the film handles can be introduced by punching into the film laminate or produced by means of a CO 2 laser beam. The laser cutting can be used without problems in non-polyolefin films, in particular films of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
The separating cuts are preferably delimited at their ends by sections which are U-shaped or circular or connect as arcs to a linear section of the separating cuts. Through these sections, the introduction of force is improved by the film handle on the wall surface of the bag packaging.
The invention also provides a method according to
Before the film laminate is wound up into a film roll, weakening lines or separating cuts for producing film handles can be introduced into the film laminate, which pass through only the outer film and the reinforcing strips connected to the outer film. The separating cuts can be introduced by punching into the film laminate. In order to avoid engagement of the punching tools in the sealable film, the reinforcing strip connected to the outer film and the sealable film are expediently guided over a separating plate on both sides.
The separating cuts for producing the film handles can alternatively also be produced by means of a CO 2 laser. The sealable film of the film laminate is usually made of a polyolefin, in particular polyethylene. The absorption capacity of polyethylene for the radiation of a CO 2 laser is low. Thus, the risk that the sealable inner film is weakened by the CO 2 laser, small. The outer film as well as the reinforcing strip contain, if necessary, laser absorptive substances that laser cutting improve. As laser absorptive substances are mixed silicates, eg. As lepidolite, porphyr, phonolite or kaolinite.
