Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Armrests for beds, in particular examination beds, are known in various embodiments.
- an armrest which consists essentially of a base plate and a molded-on depression for inserting the arm.
- the base plate can be pushed under the patient and is thus fixed by the weight of the patient.
- the armrest is used to fix and position the patient during a fluoroscopic procedure, such as an X-ray.
- the patient's arms rest laterally beside the body, with the arms located below the plane of the base plate.
- the trough or the bottom of the trough runs parallel to the base plate of the armrest and thus also parallel to the examination bed or to the upper body of the patient.
- the patient's arm is always angled. This is inevitable because the armrests are not attached to the actual anatomy of an arm are adjusted. However, such angulation is troublesome when infusions or cannulas are applied to the patient.
- the arm is straight outstretched.
- This straight outstretched in front of the body attitude of the arms can be easily achieved via the armrests according to the invention. For this reason, the accessibility for the doctors is improved and the well-being of the patient is increased.
- the known armrests are not anatomically favorable or not well adapted to the real anatomical conditions of a person.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide an armrest that can be easily brought into the appropriate position and ensures anatomically favorable positioning of the arms of a patient.
- the armrest can be used by its advantageous embodiment for all body sizes. By varying the position with respect to the body, the armrest can always be optimally positioned.
- this arm support is suitable for use in a CT tunnel, as the arms would not protrude laterally from the body and thus hinder movement in the dimensionally restricted CT tunnel. It is also possible to adjust the height of the arms to the limited dimensions of a computerized tomography tunnel by moving the armrest.
- the tilt of the arms corresponds to the natural conditions of an arm stretched away from the body. This relieves the patient's arm and relieves tension or disability in the nerves or joints.
- the nerves which run from the neck to the arm are relieved, and the arm of the patient lies in an anatomically natural position which is comfortable for the patient.
- the arms of the patient rest relaxed on the armrests and a positioning and fixation is therefore possible for a long time, without causing discomfort to the patient.
- the armrest can be used by the inclined position of the support part and by the displaceability of the arm rail with respect to the examination table for all body sizes.
- the features of claim 2 ensure optimal adaptation of the bracer to the anatomical requirements in humans.
- the angle is chosen so that the advantages of the inclination come into their own in the best possible way.
- the features of claim 4 are formed.
- the fixation effect of the bracer is thereby increased and the quality of the fluoroscopic examination increased.
- the bracer is particularly stable and resilient.
- the bracer can be easily rotated to a certain degree without losing their fixed positioning.
- recesses may be formed according to claim 12.
- recesses may also be arranged in the carrier part.
- the armrest comprises a substantially flat base plate 1 which can be slipped under the patient's body or under the mattress of the examination table.
- To the base plate 1 includes a support plate 2.
- This support plate 2 is inclined relative to the base plate 1 by the angle ⁇ .
- the angle ⁇ is between 90 ° and 120 °, preferably 104 to 113 °.
- the inclination takes place in particular by bending the support plate 2 relative to the base plate 1 and the bending edge is rounded.
- the angle ⁇ is greater than or equal to 90 °, therefore, the support plate 2 in the position of use is always outward, ie inclined away from the patient.
- the carrier part 3 has the shape of a cone or cylinder jacket segment or a cylindrical shell or longitudinal barrel or arc shell, ie it has the shape of a cylinder jacket which has been cut open in the direction of a generatrix.
- the support part 3 is shaped like a channel, with a thickness and length of an average arm, ie about 10cm x 50cm.
- the channel has the cross-sectional shape of a circle section, but may also have the shape of an elliptical section.
- Fig. 3 is the support member 3 in the form of a rectangular groove and according to Fig. 4 the carrier part consists only of a flat plate. This plate can be rectangular or oval shaped.
- the support part 3 is always dimensioned such that an average arm is at least partially deployable.
- the substantially flat and flat support plate 2 defines a plane or lies in a certain plane.
- the support member 3 is, as in the Fig. 2, 3 and 4 is shown, with respect to this plane defined by the support plate 2 arranged mirror-symmetrically, ie the support member 3 is in the position of use, as well as the support plate 2 itself, slightly inclined to the outside, away from the patient.
- the angle ⁇ near edge 6 and optionally the angle ⁇ far end edge 7 of the support member 3 are fed towards the center of the support member 3 out or offset inwardly or rounded.
- the carrier part 3 is arranged inclined with respect to its longitudinal dimension or its longitudinal extent 9 with respect to the base plate 1 or the plane spanned by the base plate.
- This inclination angle ⁇ between the support part 3 and the base plate 1 is between 10 ° and 30 °, in particular between 15 ° and 25 °, preferably 20 ° to 24 °.
- the armrest is integrally formed and is formed by bending or hot lamination and other types of hot forming.
- the armrest is made of X-ray permeable material, such as plastic, which may optionally be reinforced by carbon or carbon fibers, aramids and / or glass fibers. In this case, in particular epoxy resin or polyamide is advantageous.
- two elongated recesses 5 are formed in the support plate 2, in which the base plate remote area of the support plate 2.
- securing or fastening straps can be carried out and the arm are fixed, for example by means of Velcro straps on the support member 3.
- recesses may also be arranged in the support part 3.
- the size of the base plate 1 is dimensioned such that the armrest is held by the weight of the patient with sufficient strength. As mentioned, the base plate 1 is inserted under the mattress or under the body of the patient. As a result, appropriate pressure should be exerted on the base plate 1, which is sufficient to carry the patient's arm safely.
- the size of the base plate 1 is about 200 to 400 cm 2 , but may also be made larger. It is further possible to mold the base plate 1 to the examination table or to detachably or permanently attach it to the examination table or to provide connection means for attaching such an armrest to a examination table. Thus, more recesses could be provided in the base plate 1, which allow such attachment.
- the armrest is now positioned so that the patient can comfortably rest his arm on the armrest, i. that his elbow also rests in the armrest 3 or in the support part 3.
- the examination table including armrests, is placed in the tomography device, i. inserted into the CT tunnel.
- guide rails may be formed in the examination bed, in which the arm supports are displaceable in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction.

Moreover, in the prior art embodiments, the patient's arm is always angled. This is inevitable because the armrests are not attached to the actual anatomy of an arm are adjusted. However, such angulation is troublesome when infusions or cannulas are applied to the patient.
Furthermore, such an angulation of the arm affects the accessibility for the attending physician. For example, changing the cannulas on the inside of the flexed elbow region is difficult and uncomfortable for the patient.
For these reasons, it is advantageous if the arm is straight outstretched. This straight outstretched in front of the body attitude of the arms can be easily achieved via the armrests according to the invention. For this reason, the accessibility for the doctors is improved and the well-being of the patient is increased.
Furthermore, the known armrests are not anatomically favorable or not well adapted to the real anatomical conditions of a person.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide an armrest that can be easily brought into the appropriate position and ensures anatomically favorable positioning of the arms of a patient.
It is another object of the invention to provide an armrest, in which the accessibility of the arms for the doctors during the entire course of the examination or operation course is well ensured.
These objects are achieved by the characterizing features of
The armrest can be used by its advantageous embodiment for all body sizes. By varying the position with respect to the body, the armrest can always be optimally positioned.
In addition, this arm support is suitable for use in a CT tunnel, as the arms would not protrude laterally from the body and thus hinder movement in the dimensionally restricted CT tunnel. It is also possible to adjust the height of the arms to the limited dimensions of a computerized tomography tunnel by moving the armrest.
The tilt of the arms corresponds to the natural conditions of an arm stretched away from the body. This relieves the patient's arm and relieves tension or disability in the nerves or joints. By means of the arm support according to the invention, the nerves which run from the neck to the arm are relieved, and the arm of the patient lies in an anatomically natural position which is comfortable for the patient. The arms of the patient rest relaxed on the armrests and a positioning and fixation is therefore possible for a long time, without causing discomfort to the patient.
Die Qualität der CT-Untersuchung nimmt daher zu.As a result, troublesome movements of the patient are avoided for a tomography, trying to bring this in a more comfortable position. The quality of CT examination is therefore increasing.
Furthermore, the armrest can be used by the inclined position of the support part and by the displaceability of the arm rail with respect to the examination table for all body sizes.
The features of

In order to prevent the arm from slipping or falling off the arm rail, it is advantageous if the features of claim 4 are formed. The fixation effect of the bracer is thereby increased and the quality of the fluoroscopic examination increased. In this context, it is particularly advantageous if the features of

The size of the
- In a first step, the patient is placed on the examination table. Subsequently, one or two armrests are inserted from the broad sides of the examination table directly under the mattress or under the patient. The patient lies on his back and now places his arms or his arm on the
support part 3 of the armrest. The armrest can be well varied in position, since the size of thebase plate 1 is allowed to push the armrest deeper under the mattress or even about to pull out to optimally adapt the armrest to the physiological parameters of the patient can. An adjustment in the longitudinal direction of the examination table is possible. The armrest can also be rotated slightly to allow the patient's arms to protrude further from the body.
The armrest is now positioned so that the patient can comfortably rest his arm on the armrest, i. that his elbow also rests in the
In one possible embodiment, guide rails may be formed in the examination bed, in which the arm supports are displaceable in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction.
