Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Leichtmetallkolben für Brennkraftmaschinen mit einem dachförmigen Kolbenboden (2) mit einer üblicherweise asymetrisch ausgebildeten Brennraummulde (4); um die Kopflastigkeit eines derartigen Kolbens zu reduzieren, wird der Kolben erfindungsgemäß so ausgebildet, dass die Naben (14) in Bolzenachsenrichtung (x) derart zurückgesetzt sind, dass der äußere Nabenabstand 60 - 65 % des Kolbendurchmessers (Dk) oder weniger beträgt, und dass oberhalb der Außenflächen (18) der zurückgesetzten Naben (14) ein in Umfangsrichtung einen Winkel (α) zwischen 45 und 60° einschließender offener Hohlraum (22) vorgesehen ist, der sich in Richtung auf den Kolbenboden (2) in den Bereich hinter dem Ringfeld (6) hineinerstreckt, und dass die Nabeninnenflächen (20) trapezförmig oder stufenförmig abgesetzt ausgebildet sind, und die Schaftlänge (Ls) 40 - 45 % des Kolbendurchmessers (Dk) beträgt.
