La démarche inventive globale du demandeur a consisté, à l'encontre des habitudes dans le domaine, à identifier, grâce à des moyens de mémoire électronique, chacun des supports de marchandises composant un parc, les dits moyens de mémoire mettant en oeuvre une puce électronique incorporée au support, la dite puce étant non seulement lisible, pour l'identification du support en un quelconque lieu du dit territoire et à un quelconque instant, grâce notamment à des moyens mobiles de lecture à distance, mais aussi avantageusement inscriptible pour être momentanément caractérisée par sa destination et/ou des informations propres aux marchandises qu'il véhicule. De ce fait, un parc de supports de stockage et de transport de marchandises peut, rigoureusement et de façon fiable, être géré par des moyens informatiques, avantageusement associés à des moyens télématiques de type "hertzien" ou encore du type mettant en oeuvre un réseau de télécommunication associé à un centre serveur, les dits moyens télématiques comprenant des moyens mobiles pour que l'un quelconque des supports composant le dit parc puisse recevoir et livrer des informations à chacune des étapes de ses pérégrinations et en un point quelconque du territoire. La figure 2 illustre une palette de l'invention, globalement constitué d'une plate-forme 10 surélevée au dessus du sol au moyen d'un jeu de patins 6 comprenant un plot central 2. On comprendra que la conformation de la palette représentée est une conformation normalisée et n'est que préférée, et que, selon le procédé de 1'invention, la puce électronique peut être incorporée dans tout support de stockage et de transport de marchandises ; par exemple, de manière équivalente à l'utilisation d'une palette de transport, le procédé de l'invention peut être mis en oeuvre avec des conteneurs aptes au stockage de denrées liquides, ou encore avec tout autre type de support commun d'emballage et de transport de marchandises. Sur les fig.2 à 5, qui illustre un premier exemple d'une palette de l'invention, la puce électronique 4 est supportée par une carte rigide 16 qui est insérée dans une fente 18 ménagée dans le plot central 2, zone de la palette la moins exposée aux chocs, puis noyée dans de la matière synthétique souple 20 comblant la fente 18, cette dernière étant borgne et débouchante sur la face 22 destinée à être recouverte par la plate-forme 10, de telle sorte que la puce électronique 4 soit à l'abri des souillures et de 1'humidité.
