Abstract

The valve has a valve housing, a multi-part valve body displaceably arranged in the housing and at least one entry aperture issuing into a work cylinder. A fuel feed from a pressure chamber occurs via the aperture by control of the valve body. Between the nozzle needle (15a) controlled by the injection aperture (4) and at least one superimposed valve body part (15b) of the multi-part valve body (15) a vapour chamber (43) filled with fuel is formed. The vapour chamber is enclosed directly by the valve housing (47) or by a ring member axially displaceable or stationary in the valve housing. <IMAGE>
