En particulier, il est relativement fréquent que des accidents parfois graves se produisent suite à l'ingestion, par le consommateur, d'un objet ou d'un insecte qui s'est introduit, d'une manière fortuite, par l'ouverture d'une boîte à boisson ; à cet égard, l'opacité du récipient, généralement métallique, empêche le consommateur de s'apercevoir de la présence de l'objet ou de l'insecte en question.
