Die Anbringung von Vorsprüngen, Hinterschnitten oder auch nur von Rauhigkeiten an den durchgehenden Löchern des Borstenträgers sorgen für eine Verbesserung der Verankerung der Borsten, wobei diese Maßnahmen gegen Auszugskräfte in beiden Richtungen wirksam sind. Die fertigungstechnische Erzeugung solcher Hinterschnitte oder Vorsprünge ist sowohl bei mechanischer oder termischer Herstellung der Löcher, wie auch beim Herstellen des Borstenträgers und der Löcher durch Gießen, z. B. Spritzgießen, ohne Schwierigkeiten möglich, da jeder in die lichte Weite der Löcher hineinragende Vorsprung zu seinen beiden Seiten einen Hinterschnitt für die jeweils abgewandten Borsten bildet, so daß faktisch nur Vorsprünge oder Rauhigkeiten notwendig sind, um eine verbesserte auszugsfeste Verankerung zu erreichen. In Figur 1 ist ein Borstenträger (1) im längsschnitt erkennbar, wie er beispielsweise für Handwaschbürsten mit beidseitigem Borstenbesatz bekannt ist. In Abweichung von den bekannten Ausführungen weist der Borstenträger (1), der aus beliebigem Material bestehen kann, durchgehende Löcher oder Bohrungen (2) auf, die anläßlich seiner Herstellung (Spritzgießen, Schäumen oder dergleichen) oder danach durch Bohren, Wärmeinformen oder dergleichen erzeugt werden können. In jedes Durchgangsloch (2) des Borstenträgers (1) wird von jeder Seite ein Borstenbündel (3) eingeführt, das zuvor an seinem Ende (4) aufgeschmolzen wird. Dabei sitzen die Borstenbündel (3) für jede Seite des Borstenträgers (1) vorzugsweise in einem gemeinsamen Halter, so daß sie gleichzeitig in die Durchgangslöcher (2) eingeführt werden können. Das Aufschmelzen der Enden (4) der Borstenbündel (3) kann durch Kontaktwärme oder durch kontaktloses Erhitzen erfolgen. In Figur 1 ist beispielhaft das sogenannte Heizspiegelverfahren wiedergegeben, bei dem zwischen dem eingespannten Borstenträger (1) und den in den nicht gezeigten Haltern sitzenden Borstenbündeln (3) ein Heizspiegel (5) eingefahren wird, bis die Enden (4) ausreichend erweicht sind. Die Heizspiegel (5) werden dann entsprechend dem wiedergegebenen Doppelpfeil nach außen gefahren und die Borstenbündel (3) in die Durchgangslöcher (2) eingeführt.In Figure 1, a bristle carrier (1) can be seen in longitudinal section, as is known for example for hand washing brushes with bristle trimmings on both sides. Durch den Versatz der Vorsprünge (9) kann die Schmelze (10) jedes Borstenbündels hinter einen oder einen Teil dieser Vorsprünge (9) fließen, so daß jedes Borstenbündel (3) für sich im Borstenträger verankert ist. Ebenso ist es möglich, an den beiden Seiten des Borstenträgers Borstenbündel unterschiedlichen Durchmessers oder Querschnittes oder mit unterschiedlicher Borstenzahl und/oder Borstenfarbe einzusetzen. Ferner kann der Borstenträger aus beliebigem Material bestehen. Es können ferner fast beliebig dünne Borstenträger eingesetzt werden, da für die kraft- oder formschlüssige Verankerung eine sehr geringe Höhe ausreicht, insbesondere lassen sich auf diese Weise auch Bandbürsten oder dergleichen für industrielle Zwecke herstellen.
