Die Umsetzung der Hypochlorite mit Säuren oder sauren Salzen unter Abspaltung von unterchloriger Säure bereitet keine Schwierigkeiten. So ist z. B. (Patentschrift 3o9 io6) vorgeschlagen worden, durch Einwirkung von sauren Sulfaten, Phosphaten und Oxalaten aus Chlorkalk unter Abscheidung der entsprechenden Kalksalze die unterchlorige Säure in Freiheit zu setzen.
