Abstract
Description

Der Katheter muß dazu im Bereich der radial orientierten Nadelaustrittsöffnung in einem relativ engen Bogen um etwa 90° zur Nadellängsachse umgelenkt werden. Da der Katheter zur Verlängerung der Anästhesiedauer und auch noch zur postoperativen Analgesie rung benötigt wird, muß die Tuohy-Nadel unter Beibehaltung der Katheterplazie rung entfernbar sein. Dazu wird die Nadel über das proximale Katheterende abgezo gen, wobei sich der Umlenkungsbogen des Katheters über dessen Länge kon tinuierlich verlagert, bis die Nadel vollständig abgezogen ist. Die Plazierbarkeit des Katheters und die Entfernbarkeit der Tuohy-Nadel erfordern daher eine große Flexibilität des Katheters, die dadurch erreicht wird, daß der Katheter aus Schlauchmaterial, wie beispielsweise Silikon, hergestellt wird.
