Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Färbungen und Drucken mit Küpenfarbstoffen. In dem Hauptpatent 48487 ist unter anderm ein Verfahren zum Färben oder Bedrucken von Textilfasern beschrieben, welches darin besteht, daß die Faser mit einer Lösung eines durch Behandlung von Leukoküpenfarbstoffen mit Chlorsulfonsäure in Gegenwart einer tertiären Base beispielsweise erhältlichen Stoffes, die gleichzeitig noch ein Oxydationsmittel enthält, imprägniert wird. Dieses Oxydationsmittel soll in neutralem oder schwach alkalischem Medium unwirksam sein; es soll seine Wirksamkeit in saurem Medium entfalten. Die so geklotzte Faser wird getrocknet und durch ein Säurebad gezogen, wobei das Oxydationsmittel die Entwicklung der Färbung bewirkt. Als Oxydationsmittel für diese Zwecke haben sich geeignet erwiesen u. a. die Salze der Chromsäure, ferner Nitrite, namentlich Natriumnitrit.Process for producing dyeings and prints with vat dyes.
