Abstract

The key (1) carries a power or data transmission winding (5) on its straight edge, and is coupled permanently by a cable (4) to a housing (2) contg. an electronic decoding circuit. The code for erasure is set up by means of a number of switches (3) on the housing (2) corresp. to the number of code positions. When the key (1) is inserted into the lock, a reading head in the latter co-operates with the inouctive winding (5) on the key, a corresp. decoding signal is transmitted to the lock's electronic system and the code is erased. Consequently the lock can no longer be operated by a key bearing that code.
