Schließlich bringt man auf den in vorstehender Weise hergestellten Mantel noch die aus Kautschuk bestehende Schutzdecke 5 auf, worauf das Ganze, zwecks Verfestigung und Verschmelzung zu einem einzigen Block der Vulkanisation unterworfen wird. In Abb.3 und 4 ist eine.Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Mänteln nach der Erfindung beispielsweise veranschaulicht. Ein Gestell 7 (Abb. 3) trägt eine Reihe von gleichlaufenden Rollen, über welche die Fäden 2 geführt werden. Nachdem diese Fäden über eine weitere Leitrolle 9 gelaufen sind, werden sie über eine Rolle 11, die in dem Kautschukbad 10 angeordnet ist, geführt. Beim Verlassen des Bades 10 werden die Fäden mit Hilfe eines Kammes 12 voneinander getrennt und hierauf einer Trocknung unterworfen, z. B. mit Hilfe eines Heißluftgebläses 13. Die Fälen gehen nun über eine Rolle 14 und von hieraus durch eine zweite Vorrichtung, deren Teile mit den Teilen 10, 11, 12, 13 und 14 ler beschriebenen Vorrichtung identisch sind. Das Streichnetz der Fäden 2 erhält ■genau die Form dieser Einbuchtung mit Hilfe eines vor Walze 17 angeordneten Kammes 20, welcher von einem Arbeiter bedient wird, der dem Kamm die jeweils gewünschte Einstellung gibt. In Gestell 16 ist ferner noch: eine Walze 21 verstellbar angeordnet, deren Höhenlage vermittels eines Schraubengewindes 22 geregelt wird. Diese Walze ist mit Innenheizung ausgerüstet.
