Die einzelnen LEDs sind auf Leiterplatten, sogenannten Platinen angeordnet und verlötet. Nach Anspruch 6 kann der Lichtschlauch mit einem transparenten und elastischen Kunststoff verfüllt werden, ohne dass sich seine Flexibilität stark verringert. Durch diese Maßnahme wird ein weiterer Sperreffekt gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit erzielt. Der Leuchtkörper nach Anspruch 7 besteht aus einem flachen Kunststoffkörper. Hierbei können transparente aber auch nichttransparente Kunststoffmaterialien, je nach gewunschtem Einsatzfall, eingesetzt werden. Bei der Weiterbildung nach Anspruch 8 sind die Nutwände im Leuchtkörper nach außen hin aufgeweitet. Hierdurch wird eine breitere Lichtausbreitung realisiert.
