Therefore, a concept of a Bandwidth part (BWP) is proposed. The terminal may operate on different sub-band BWPs and the subcarrier spacing on these BWPs may be different, thereby reducing terminal cost and power consumption.

Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The definitions or explanations of the concepts and terms referred to in this application are as follows.
BWP handover
For the RRC connected state terminal, there are three main ways for BWP handover: RRC based BWP handover, Timer based BWP handover, and DCI based BWP handover.
1. RRC-based BWP handover
The method is mainly used for enabling the terminal to enter a new BWP after RRC reconfiguration message issuing or secondary cell SCell activation.
2. Timer based BWP handoff
The network device configures bwp-InactivtyTimer for the terminal, and if bwp-InactivtyTimer is overtime, the defaultDownlinBWP is switched in.
3. Downlink Control Information (DCI) based BWP handover, where the DCI indicates a target BWP of the handover.
For idle, inactive terminals, the Downlink reception is on an initial Downlink BWP, where the initial Downlink BWP is configured to be 20 MHZ.
The technical solution of the embodiment of the present application may be applied to the example communication system 100 shown in fig. 1A, where the example communication system 100 includes a terminal 110 and a network device 120, and the terminal 110 is communicatively connected to the network device 120.
The example communication system 100 may be, for example: a Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) System, a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) System, a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) System, a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), a Long Term Evolution (Long Term Evolution, LTE) System, an Advanced Long Term Evolution (LTE-a) System, a New Radio (NR) System, an Evolution System of an NR System, an LTE (LTE-based Access to unlicensed spectrum, LTE-U) System on unlicensed spectrum, an NR (NR-based Access to unlicensed spectrum) System on unlicensed spectrum, a UMTS (Universal Mobile telecommunications System), or other next generation communication systems.
Generally, conventional Communication systems support a limited number of connections and are easy to implement, however, with the development of Communication technology, mobile Communication systems will support not only conventional Communication, but also, for example, Device-to-Device (D2D) Communication, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Communication, Machine Type Communication (MTC), and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) Communication, and the embodiments of the present application can also be applied to these Communication systems. Optionally, the communication system in the embodiment of the present application may be applied to a Carrier Aggregation (CA) scenario, may also be applied to a Dual Connectivity (DC) scenario, and may also be applied to an independent (SA) networking scenario.
The frequency spectrum of the application is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. For example, the embodiments of the present application may be applied to a licensed spectrum and may also be applied to an unlicensed spectrum.
A terminal 110 in the embodiments of the present application may refer to a user equipment, an access terminal, a subscriber unit, a subscriber station, a mobile station, a remote terminal, a mobile device, a user terminal, a wireless communication device, a user agent, or a user device. The terminal may also be a cellular phone, a cordless phone, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone, a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) station, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a handheld device with wireless communication function, a computing device or other processing device connected to a wireless modem, a relay device, a vehicle-mounted device, a wearable device, a terminal in a future 5G network or a terminal in a future evolved Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), and the like, which are not limited in this embodiment. In some deployments, the gNB may include a Centralized Unit (CU) and a DU. The gNB may also include an Active Antenna Unit (AAU). The CU implements part of the function of the gNB and the DU implements part of the function of the gNB. For example, the CU is responsible for processing non-real-time protocols and services, and implementing functions of a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer and a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer. The DU is responsible for processing a physical layer protocol and a real-time service, and implements functions of a Radio Link Control (RLC) layer, a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer, and a Physical (PHY) layer. It is to be understood that the network device may be a device comprising one or more of a CU node, a DU node, an AAU node. In addition, the CU may be divided into network devices in an access network (RAN), or may be divided into network devices in a Core Network (CN), which is not limited in this application.

The application layer comprises applications such as a browser, an address list, word processing software, instant messaging software and the like. Furthermore, the embodiment of the present application does not particularly limit the specific structure of the execution main body of the method provided by the embodiment of the present application, as long as the communication can be performed according to the method provided by the embodiment of the present application by running the program recorded with the code of the method provided by the embodiment of the present application, for example, the execution main body of the method provided by the embodiment of the present application may be a terminal, or a functional module in the terminal that can call the program and execute the program.
At present, how to receive MBS service through BWP to ensure service reception stability and power saving is a problem to be solved.
In view of the above problems, an embodiment of the present application provides a transmission method for MBS services, which is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a schematic flowchart illustrating a transmission method for MBS service according to an embodiment of the present application, where as shown in the figure, the method includes:
step 201, the network device sends a first MBS service to the terminal on a first BWP, where the first BWP provides the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving.
The embodiment of the present application defines MBS BWP, which is a BWP dedicated to transmitting MBS services, and terminals in RRC idle and RRC inactive states may receive MBS services through the MBS BWP. Wherein, the MBS BWP comprises initial BWP in frequency domain. One or more MBS BWPs may be configured in one cell.
In one possible example, the method further comprises: the network device sends the BWP configuration update information to the terminal.
The BWP configuration update information includes, for example, an update of the BWP number or an update of a service provided on the BWP.
In one possible example, the method further comprises: the network device transmits MBS service information available on each BWP through a notification message, which includes a common message or a dedicated message.
The common message may be, for example, system information or a common control channel, and the dedicated message may be, for example, an RRC release message.
It can be seen that, in this example, the configuration information of the BWP of the MBS service may be synchronized through the notification message, which is highly flexible.
In this possible example, the network device sends MBS service information available on each BWP through a notification message, including: the network device sends service information that the initial BWP can provide and incremental MBS service information that can be provided on the first MBS BWP through a notification message, so as to obtain all MBS service information that can be provided on the first MBS BWP.
Step 202, the terminal receives the first MBS service on the first bandwidth part BWP, wherein the first BWP provides the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving.
In a specific implementation, the terminal may select BWP according to a list of service services that are interested in receiving or are ready to receive or are receiving. The service list may include BWP configuration for providing MBS service reception, or BWP configuration for non-MBS service.
In one possible example, the first BWP is a BWP with the smallest bandwidth among BWPs configured for a current cell, and the BWPs each provide MBS services that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving.
And the current cell is the cell where the terminal currently resides.
For example, the plurality of BWPs include a first BWP, a second BWP, and a third BWP, and the bandwidth of the first BWP is 20MHZ, the bandwidth of the second BWP is 40MHZ, and the bandwidth of the third BWP is 80MHZ, the terminal may select to receive the first MBS service on the first BWP.
It can be seen that, in this example, the terminal may select the BWP with the smallest bandwidth for receiving according to the MBS service list interested in receiving or ready to receive or receiving, so as to achieve both receiving service data and saving power.
In one possible example, the first BWP provides the BWP of the first MBS service for only one of the BWPs configured for the current cell.
It can be seen that, in this example, the terminal may select an appropriate BWP for reception according to the MBS service list that is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving, so as to achieve both service data reception and power saving.
In one possible example, the method further comprises: the terminal performs BWP handover.
In a specific implementation, if the MBS service currently interested in being received or prepared to be received or being received by the terminal is not suitable for the currently used BWP, the terminal needs to select the BWP adapted to the MBS service currently interested in being received or prepared to be received or being received for service reception.
For example, the terminal may select an adaptive BWP and send an index of the BWP to the network device to synchronize the handover request, and the network device reconfigures the BWP of the terminal after receiving the handover request.
As another example, the terminal may synchronize MBS services currently interested in being received or ready to be received or being received to the network device, and the network device configures the terminal with an appropriate BWP.
Therefore, in this example, the network device may configure, in time, the BWP adapted to the MBS service that the terminal is currently interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving, so as to ensure that the terminal can accurately receive the MBS service, and improve the stability and efficiency of receiving the MBS service.
In this possible example, the trigger condition for BWP handover includes: the available BWP list of the current cell configuration changes, and the BWP with the smallest bandwidth in the available BWP list is the second BWP, where the second BWP is different from the first BWP, and the BWPs included in the available BWP list provide MBS services that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or receiving.
For example, if a second BWP with smaller bandwidth in the changed available BWP list also starts to support the first MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or receiving, the terminal selects to receive the first MBS service on the second BWP.
It can be seen that, in this example, for a case where the available BWP list of the current cell configuration changes, the terminal may determine whether BWP handover is required based on the bandwidth size ratio, and trigger BWP handover when the BWP of the minimum bandwidth changes.
In this possible example, the trigger condition for BWP handover includes: the BWP list configured in the current cell changes, and the MBS service that can be provided by the first BWP in the changed BWP list is partially the same as or completely different from the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving.
The MBS service that the first BWP in the changed BWP list can provide is partially the same as or completely different from the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving, and may correspond to the following two cases.
First, the MBS service that the first BWP can provide is empty, i.e. the first BWP is no longer configured to transmit the MBS service, in this case, it is obvious that the first BWP cannot transmit any MBS service any more.
Second, the first BWP can only provide other MBS services except the first MBS service, in this case, the first BWP cannot provide all MBS services that the terminal is interested in receiving or ready to receive or is receiving, so that the first BWP is no longer preferred by the terminal for transmitting the MBS services that the terminal is interested in receiving or ready to receive or is receiving, in view of stability and comprehensiveness of the transmission service, i.e. the terminal preferentially selects the BWP that can adapt to all MBS services that the terminal is interested in receiving or ready to receive or is receiving.
It can be seen that, in this example, for a case where the available BWP list of the current cell configuration changes, the terminal may determine whether to trigger BWP handover based on whether the BWP provides a condition that all MBS services the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving.
In this possible example, the trigger condition for BWP handover includes: the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving changes, and the MBS service that the first BWP can provide is partially the same as or completely different from the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or is receiving.
The trigger conditions described in this example correspond to the following three cases.
First, the terminal is interested in receiving or preparing to receive or adding a second MBS service to the MBS service being received, where the second MBS service is not an MBS service that can be provided by the first BWP.
Secondly, the terminal is interested in receiving or prepares to receive or is receiving the MBS service that reduces the first MBS service, i.e. the terminal no longer is interested in receiving or prepares to receive or is receiving the MBS service that is being received by the first MBS service and will not receive the first MBS service any more, and then can select the adapted BWP according to the new MBS service receiving requirement.
Thirdly, the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or ready to receive or is receiving is reduced to null, that is, the terminal is not interested in receiving or ready to receive or is not receiving the MBS service, and in this state, the terminal switches the transmission resource of the service received by the local device to the initial BWP.
It can be seen that, in this example, for the case that the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving changes, the terminal may determine whether the first BWP can continue to provide the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving, so as to determine whether to trigger BWP handover.
In this possible example, the MBS service change that the terminal is interested in receiving or ready to receive or is receiving means a state of the MBS service that the terminal is no longer interested in receiving or not ready to receive or no longer receiving for the first MBS service.
In this possible example, the state that the terminal is no longer interested in receiving or is not ready to receive or is no longer receiving the first MBS service is determined by the following method: the terminal starts to receive or is not ready to receive the first MBS service any more, starts a switching timer, and determines the state that the terminal is not interested in or is not ready to receive the first MBS service any more after the switching timer is overtime if the terminal is still not interested in or is not ready to receive the first MBS service any more.
The value of the switch timer of the switching timer is configured by the network side, or agreed by the protocol, or is realized by the terminal.
As can be seen, in this example, frequent BWP switching can be avoided by using the timer mechanism for the case that the user switches back quickly, so as to improve the stability of service transmission and save power.
In this possible example, the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving changes means that the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving decreases to null;
the BWP switching means that the terminal switches the BWP where the local device receives the service to the initial BWP.
As can be seen, in this example, for the case that the terminal no longer receives the MBS service, the terminal may switch to the initial BWP in time to receive other non-MBS services.
In this possible example, the method further comprises: the terminal receives the available MBS service information on each BWP through a notification message, wherein the notification message comprises a public message or a special message.
The common message may be, for example, system information or a common control channel, and the dedicated message may be, for example, an RRC release message.
It can be seen that, in this example, the configuration information of the BWP of the MBS service may be synchronized through the notification message, which is highly flexible.
In this possible example, the terminal receives MBS service information available on each BWP through a notification message, which includes: the terminal receives the service information provided by the initial BWP and the incremental MBS service information provided on the first MBS BWP through the notification message, so as to obtain all the MBS service information provided on the first MBS BWP.
For example, the service list provided on the initial BWP is indicated in the notification message as follows: service1 and service 2; the list of the increment service provided on the MBS BWP1 in the notification message is: service3, service 4. Since the MBS BWP1 includes the initial BWP, only the incremental part provided on the MBS BWP1, i.e., the list of services that cannot be provided by the initial BWP, may be notified.
The terminal learns that the service1 and the service2 are provided on the initial BWP, and receives the provided incremental service3 and service4 from the MBS BWP 1. The terminal knows that service1, service2 and service3, service4 can be received at the MBS BWP 1.
As can be seen, in this example, since the data amount of the incremental MBS service information available on the first MBS BWP is small, the signaling interaction data amount can be saved, and the interaction efficiency is improved.
In addition, the terminal may also receive first service information that may be provided by the initial BWP and second service information that may be provided on the first MBS BWP through the notification message, to obtain all MBS service information that may be provided on the first MBS BWP.
Wherein the second service information includes the first service information.
For example, the service list provided on the initial BWP is indicated in the notification message as follows: service1 and service2, and indicates that the list of services provided on the MBS BWP1 is: service1, service2, service3, service 4.
It can be seen that, in this embodiment, the terminal is capable of selecting the first BWP to receive the first MBS service of the local terminal, and the selected first BWP provides the MBS service that the terminal is interested in receiving or is ready to receive or is receiving, thereby avoiding the situation that the first MBS service cannot be correctly received without using an illegal BWP, improving the stability of MBS service transmission, and in addition, because the bandwidth of a single BWP is smaller, it is possible to avoid bandwidth waste and save power.
The embodiment of the application provides a transmission device of MBS service, which can be a terminal. Specifically, the MBS service transmission apparatus is configured to perform the steps performed by the terminal in the MBS service transmission method. The transmission apparatus for MBS service provided in the embodiment of the present application may include modules corresponding to the corresponding steps.
In the embodiment of the present application, the functional modules of the MBS service transmission device may be divided according to the method example, for example, each functional module may be divided corresponding to each function, or two or more functions may be integrated into one processing module.
