In the claims, specification and drawings of the present invention, the terms "comprising," having, "and variations thereof as used herein, are intended to be" including but not limited to.
Referring to fig. 1-5, which illustrate a faucet 10 of an embodiment of the present invention, for example, a shower faucet for use with a shower apparatus, it will be appreciated that the faucet may also be a counter top faucet or faucet for use in other locations, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
The tap 10 includes: a body 1, a valve core 2 and an operating member 3. The valve core 2 is arranged in the body, and the operating piece 3 is at least partially arranged in the body.
In the illustrated embodiment, the operating member 3 is configured to operate the valve element 2 to at least switch the water opening and closing functions of the faucet 10. It should be appreciated that the specific functions that the faucet 10 can perform are dependent upon the type of function of the cartridge 2 itself, and the invention is not limited in particular, as it is a conventional practice for those skilled in the art to utilize substantially identical flow switching cartridges, cold and hot water mixing cartridges, and other multi-function cartridges to simply replace the cartridges of the illustrated embodiment to provide the faucet with the corresponding additional functions that would be expected to be useful.
Specifically, the valve core 2 is provided with a valve rod 21 which can rotate at least around a first axis relative to the valve body, and the position of the sealing body in the valve core is relatively moved through the rotation of the valve rod, so that the water flow characteristic is changed, and the corresponding function of the valve core is realized.
In the illustrated embodiment, the first axis and the second axis described below are both axes perpendicular to the wall surface after the faucet is installed, depending on the operating habits of the shower faucet. In general, the first axis does not coincide with the geometric axis of the valve body, so the valve spool 2 basically refers to the aforementioned common valve spool, and is not a valve spool whose rotational axis coincides with the geometric axis of the valve body only and whose rotational stroke is large, such as a rotary valve spool. The faucet to which the rotary valve cartridge is applied does not practically have the drawbacks described previously, and is therefore not considered to be the scope of the present invention.
Further, the operating member 3 is provided with an actuating portion 31, a rotating portion 32 and a toggle portion 33 which are integrally connected, wherein "integrally connected" means that the components have no relative movement relationship and can move as a whole, so that the operating member comprises a split type fixed connection structure and an integral structure. The actuating portion 31 extends out of the body 1 for direct operation of a user, the rotating portion 32 rotates at least relative to the body around a second axis parallel to the first axis, and the stirring portion 33 is movably connected with the valve rod 21, so as to stir the valve rod to drive the valve rod to move along a preset path of the valve rod itself when the valve rod rotates, namely, rotate relative to the body around the first axis, thereby realizing operation of 2.
It should be noted that when the valve rod 21 itself has a certain preset path, only a driving force in a certain direction is applied to the valve rod by the stirring portion 33 of the operating member, and the movement trend of the driving force generated by the driving force does not deviate from the originally preset movement path, so that the valve rod can be actuated. In the present invention, the toggle portion 33 is configured to provide a real-time or instantaneous torque component at a connection position of the toggle portion and the valve rod 21 when the toggle portion is rotated with respect to a preset path of rotation of the valve rod 21 about the first axis, so that the valve rod 21 can be actuated.
Therefore, on the basis of realizing effective operation of the valve element 2, the first axis is parallel to the second axis, that is, the first axis and the second axis are not overlapped, so that compared with the existing valve element operation structure, under the condition of realizing the same operation hand feeling, the radial stroke of each point at the outermost part of the operation element 3 is reduced, and the rotation stroke is also effectively reduced. When applied to the tap 10, it is possible to slightly extend the body 1 to cover the rotating portion 32 and the toggle portion 33 of the operating member 3, and the radial dimension of the body 1 does not need to be designed to be very large to give way to the rotation of the rotating portion 32. Accordingly, the faucet 10 employing the above-described construction can meet the requirements of aesthetic degree, conventional standards of faucet products, and production costs.
Correspondingly, the body 1 should be configured to accommodate the rotating part and the toggle part 33 completely within the body, at least in one stroke position of the rotating part 32. As shown in fig. 4, when the rotating portion 32 is in the minimum stroke position, it is completely housed inside the body 1; and as shown in fig. 5, when the rotating portion 32 is at the maximum stroke position, only a small portion of the rotating portion is exposed outside the body 1.
It should be noted that, if the cost is taken into consideration, the body 1 in the illustrated embodiment may be slightly extended to cover the rotating portion 32 at any stroke position. However, in the illustrated embodiment, the valve core 2 and the operating member 3 are sequentially installed at the end of the body 1 from inside to outside; the end of the rotating portion 32 remote from the valve stem 21 is of planar configuration and, when it is in the minimum operating stroke, is flush with the end of the body 1. This embodiment thus achieves the object of the invention with a relatively small material cost.
In addition, referring to fig. 2, it can be seen that the operating member 3 is substantially mostly accommodated in the body 1, and the user can only see the actuating portion 31 protruding from the body 1 from the outside, and there is no seam where the plurality of parts are connected, so that the integrity of the faucet is effectively improved, and the defect that the conventional faucet is difficult to clean and the operating feel is affected after long-term use is overcome.
In particular, the illustrated embodiment shows a specific structure of the connection relationship of the toggle portion 33 and the valve stem 21. The pushing portion 331 is fixedly arranged on the stirring portion 33, the valve rod 21 is provided with a sliding groove 211 adapted to the pushing portion, the sliding groove extends along the radial direction of a rotating surface of the valve rod rotating around the first axis, and the pushing portion 331 is in sliding fit with the sliding groove 211.
In a specific operation, the rotating portion 32 is driven by an external force to rotate around the second axis, and the toggle portion 33 rotates with it and transmits the torque around the second axis to the valve stem 21 through the abutting portion 331. Since the valve rod 21 is limited by the valve body and cannot rotate around the second axis, the preset movement path of the valve rod is that the valve rod rotates around the first axis, so that the striking part 33 transmits the striking force which can cause the valve rod 21 to have the striking force conforming to the preset movement trend to the valve rod 21 at the contact position of the sliding groove 211 at the striking part 331, and the transmitted torque is decomposed into the striking force and other non-driving forces which are counteracted by the fixation of the valve body. The reaction force of the abutment force causes the abutment 331 to have a tendency to slide along the valve stem, so that when the contact position of the abutment 331 with the slide groove 211 moves in the radial direction of the valve stem rotating surface, the abutment force constitutes a driving force that causes the valve stem 21 to move along its preset path, thereby providing a torque rotating about the first axis to the valve stem in real time and stably to achieve the above-mentioned toggle.
In the above embodiment, when the rotating portion 32 is at the minimum stroke position (corresponding to fig. 4), the abutting portion 331 is configured to be at the position closest to the valve body; and when the rotating portion 32 is in the maximum stroke position (corresponding to fig. 5), the abutting portion 331 is configured to be in a position farthest from the valve body.
In this embodiment, the pushing portion 331 and the sliding groove 211 are slidably matched to achieve the pushing, and as can be seen from the figures, the pushing portion 331 is configured as a pin shaft integrally connected with the pushing portion 33, and compared with other irregular pushing portions, the pin shaft can be simply and conveniently assembled, has small assembly tolerance, does not need excessive debugging, and is good in operation hand feeling of a user. In this embodiment, the abutment 331 configured as a pin is parallel to the first and second axes to improve the transmission efficiency.
It is conceivable that in another embodiment the arrangement of the abutments and the runners is diametrically opposite to this embodiment, but the same effect can be achieved. That is, the valve rod 2 is fixedly provided with a propping portion, the stirring portion 33 is provided with a chute adapted to the propping portion, the chute extends along the radial direction of the rotating surface of the stirring portion rotating around the second axis, and the propping portion is in sliding fit with the chute.
Further, the stirring portion 33 is provided with a relief groove 332 facing the end surface of the valve rod 21, and the valve rod 21 is at least partially inserted into the relief groove 332. Such an arrangement effectively saves the internal space of the body 1 and reduces its radial dimension relative to embodiments in which the toggle portion 33 is not directly opposite the valve stem 21. Accordingly, in other embodiments, the reverse arrangement may be performed, that is, a relief groove into which the toggle portion 33 is inserted is provided in the valve stem 21.
It goes without saying that the body 1 is also provided with a water inlet channel and a water outlet channel which are respectively in fluid communication with the water inlet and the water outlet of the valve core 2 so as to realize water inlet and outlet of the faucet. And in the illustrated embodiment, since the tap 10 is a shower tap, it is required to have at least a water on-off function and a hot and cold water adjusting function, so that the valve cartridge 2 is selected as a valve cartridge capable of achieving both functions. In the corresponding structure, the valve rod 21 of the valve core 2 can rotate around a third axis perpendicular to the first axis, and the water inlet proportion of the cold water channel and the hot water channel in the valve core is changed by operating the valve rod to rotate around the third axis, so that the cold water and the hot water can be regulated.
In an embodiment, a first ball is disposed in the valve core 2 and is integrally connected with the valve rod 21 and the sealing body in the valve core, so that the valve rod 21 is operated to drive the first ball to rotate around any axis, and the relative position of the sealing body is switched, so as to realize the functions of opening and closing water and regulating cold and hot water. The rotation portion 32 is correspondingly configured as a second sphere or as a part of a second sphere, in order to have the same three-dimensional rotation characteristics as the valve element 2.
It is inevitable that the center of the first sphere is located on the first axis, and the center of the second sphere is located on the second axis, so that at least the valve rod 21 can rotate around the first axis, and the rotating part 32 can rotate around the second axis, thereby achieving the above-mentioned operation. In the present embodiment, the above operation, i.e., the switching of the corresponding water on/off function, corresponds to the water off state of the faucet 10 in fig. 4, and corresponds to the water on state of the faucet 10 in fig. 5. Correspondingly, the center of the first sphere is also located at the third axis, that is, at the junction of the first and third axes, so that in fig. 5, when the actuating portion 31 rotates in the direction perpendicular to the paper surface, the hot and cold water adjusting function is achieved. In this embodiment, the third axis is the geometric axis of the valve stem.
In another embodiment, the valve core 2 is not provided with a ball structure, and the valve rod 21 is configured to rotate only around the first axis and the third axis. The valve rod is integrally provided with eccentric rotation characteristics, and the third axis is the geometric axis of the valve rod operating end. Such a valve element is a conventional valve element, and a specific example thereof is shown in patent document CN 209026248U.
Therefore, in the illustrated embodiment, when the rotating portion 32 is at the minimum stroke position, i.e., corresponds to the water-off state of the faucet 10, at this time, the user can only see that the actuating portion 31 protrudes from the body 1 from the outside, and the actuating portion 31 has a slim rod configuration in this embodiment, which has a good integrity and state indication.
Preferably, the body 1 is fixedly provided with a fixing seat 11, and a first cavity is formed therein. The rotating part 32 is at least partially accommodated in the first cavity, and a spherical inner surface corresponding to the spherical outer surface of the rotating part 32 is formed in the first cavity, so that the rotating part 32 is supported and guided, and the structural stability and the operation feel are improved.
The invention further provides a corresponding shower apparatus, wherein the faucet 10 is connected to a water supply source and is provided with a shower pipe and a shower head, so that the shower apparatus has the advantages of the faucet 10.
The foregoing description of the embodiments and description is presented to illustrate the scope of the invention, but is not to be construed as limiting the scope of the invention. Modifications, equivalents, and other improvements to the embodiments of the invention or portions of the features disclosed herein, as may occur to persons skilled in the art upon use of the invention or the teachings of the embodiments, are intended to be included within the scope of the invention, as may be desired by persons skilled in the art from a logical analysis, reasoning, or limited testing, in combination with the common general knowledge and/or knowledge of the prior art.
