Daar het warmteverlies van een serre voor het grootste gedeelte langs het dak geschiedt is het zeer voordelig de enkele beglazing van zulke dakkonstruktie geschikt te vervangen door de voornoemde dubbelwandige acrylaatplaten of dergelijke.

  
Tot dit doel zal men, na verwijdering van de enkele dakbeglazing, minstens een aanpassingsprofiel aanbrengen dat op geschikte wijze samenwerkt met de bestaande glasroeden, teneinde te verkrijgen dat deze glasroeden met een geschikte afstand verhoogd worden, afstand die afhankelijk is van het verschil in dikte van de enkele beglazing ten opzichte van de dubbelwandige acrylaatplaten en waarbij, met dit aanpassingsprofiel, een geschikte afdeklijst kan samenwerken, bijvoorbeeld in hard PVC, waardoor men verkrijgt dat de voornoemde acrylaatplaten geschikt op de glasroeden worden vastgedrukt en stevig worden tegengehouden.

  
Bij voorkeur nog zal men bij zulke aanpassing de delen
