Abstract
Esta invención se refiere a composiciones y métodos para modificar genes de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1) en plantas, opcionalmente, para mejorar la arquitectura de la planta y/o para mejorados rasgos de rendimiento. La invención además se refiere a plantas que tienen mejorada arquitectura de la planta y/o rasgos de rendimiento mejorado producidas usando los métodos y las composiciones de la invención. Reivindicación 1: Una planta o parte de planta de la misma que comprende por lo menos una mutación en un gen endógeno de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1) que codifica un polipéptido de monooxigenasa de citocromo P450 (MAX1). Reivindicación 35: Una célula vegetal que comprende por lo menos una mutación dentro de un gen endógeno de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1), donde la por lo menos una mutación es una sustitución de base, inserción de base, o deleción de base que se introduce usando un sistema de edición que comprende un dominio de unión de ácido nucleico que se une a un sitio diana en el gen endógeno MAX1. Reivindicación 63: Un método para elaborar una planta, que comprende: (a) poner en contacto una población de células vegetales que comprenden un gen endógeno de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1) con una nucleasa unida a un dominio de unión de ácido nucleico (por ej., sistema de edición) que se une a una secuencia (i) que tiene por lo menos 80% de identidad de secuencia con una secuencia de nucleótidos de cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 69, 70, 93, 94, 115, 116, 140 o 141, (ii) que comprende una región que tiene por lo menos 90% de identidad con cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 72 - 91, 96 - 113, 118 - 138, o 143 - 164; (iii) que codifica una secuencia de aminoácidos que tiene por lo menos 80% de identidad de secuencia con cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 71, 95, 117, o 142, y/o (iv) que codifica una región que tiene por lo menos 90% de identidad de secuencia con cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 92, 114, 139 o 165, y/o; (b) seleccionar una célula vegetal de la población de células vegetales en la cual un gen endógeno MAX1 ha sido mutado, a fin de producir una célula vegetal que comprende una mutación en el gen endógeno MAX1; y (c) cultivar la célula vegetal seleccionada hasta lograr una planta. Reivindicación 80: Un ácido nucleico guía que se une a un sitio diana en un gen de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1), donde el sitio diana está en una región del gen MAX1 que tiene por lo menos 90% de identidad de secuencia con cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 72 - 91, 96 - 113, 118 - 138, o 143 - 164, opcionalmente una región del gen MAX1 que tiene por lo menos 90% de identidad de secuencia con cualquiera de SEQ ID Nº 77 - 79, 81 - 83, 88, 90, 91, 101 - 103, 105 - 107, 113, 121, 124, 125, 127 - 129, 132 - 138, 148 - 150, 152 - 154, o 160 - 164. Reivindicación 84: Un sistema de edición de genes que comprende una proteína efectora CRISPR-CAS en asociación con un ácido nucleico guía, donde el ácido nucleico guía comprende una secuencia espaciadora que se une a un gen endógeno de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1). Reivindicación 91: Una planta de soja o parte de planta de ella que comprende por lo menos una mutación no natural en por lo menos un gen endógeno de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1) que tiene el número de identificación de gen (gen ID) de Glyma.04g052100 (MAX1a), Glyma.06g052700 (MAX1b), Glyma.14g096900 (MAX1c) y/o Glyma.17g227500 (MAX1d). Reivindicación 92: Un ácido nucleico guía que se une a un ácido nucleico diana en un gen de Más Crecimiento Axilar 1 (MAX1) que tiene el número de identificación de gen (gen ID) de Glyma.04g052100 (MAX1a), Glyma.06g052700 (MAX1b), Glyma.14g096900 (MAX1c) y/o Glyma.17g227500 (MAX1d).
