[reaction: see text] We comment on the effects of angular substitution on the outcome of a Pb(OAc... more [reaction: see text] We comment on the effects of angular substitution on the outcome of a Pb(OAc)4 (LTA) mediated heterodomino reaction, with selected bicyclic unsaturated 1,2-diols, which is considered to proceed through a series of transformations in a single vessel. The first two, oxidative and pericyclic, are followed by the key step, an electrophilic addition of LTA to the olefin, responsible for the course of the domino process. In this study, the electrophilic addition of LTA to the double bond has been modeled with B3LYP, where the 6-31G* basis set is used for C, O, and H atoms and the LANL2DZ method is used for Pb. The modeling in the gaseous phase and in solution has revealed the concerted nature of the addition of LTA to the double bond of the intermediate. The fact that LTA adds from the same side as the substituent R, for R=H and from the opposite side when R=CH3 has been attributed to steric hindrance, which causes deformation of the olefinic intermediate.

Novel ring resonators combining very small multimode interference (MMI) couplers, low loss total ... more Novel ring resonators combining very small multimode interference (MMI) couplers, low loss total internal reflection (TIR) mirrors, and a semiconductor optical amplifier in InGaAsP material system are reported for the first time. The MMI length of 113 m is among the shortest reported. Average TIR mirror loss is about 1.1 dB per mirror. The material platform and fabrication process used are the same used for other active and passive devices except for a deep etch step. Hence, such resonators are easily integrated with other active and passive devices. A free spectral range of approximately 2 nm is observed near 1568 nm along with an on-off ratio of 14 dB, a full-width at half-maximum of about 0.3 nm, a finesse of more than 6, and a-factor of more than 4900.

Then, the geometric defects which are coming from the core on the droplets were examined with the defined method in only pillar type vented brake disc. In the last, some special performance tests were performed with these discs which are included these defects according to related standards to evaluate how risky these discs during usage in the vehicle in terms of safety. This thesis focuses on recent developments in neural networks and their predictive power for fore... more This thesis focuses on recent developments in neural networks and their predictive power for forecasting the cross-section of stock returns. Neural networks with architectures ranging from shallow to deep are used with different hyperparameter configurations. Company characteristics are considered as the feature set and relationship between features are explained. On the other hand, this work also challenges the recent conclusions about the applicability of neural networks in the financial domain with counter arguments and reasons are supported with the works from machine learning research.

IFRAME Virüsü nedir? Virüslü bilgisayarlardan FTP girişi yapılan sitelerin index, default ve/veya tüm dosyalara zararlı bir IFRAME kodu yerleştirir. Virüs, sitenize giren kullanıcıların bilgisayarlarına virüs bulaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Zararlı IFRAME Virüsü sitelere genellikle FTP üzerinden bulaşmaktadır. Nasıl bulaşır : 1. Saldırgan öncelikle güncel antivirus yazılımları ile korunmayan bilgisayarınıza bir virus bulaştırır. 2. ÖZET Bildiride şu konular ele alındı: ERP yazılımlarının Dünya'da ve Türkiye'deki durumu, gelişim... more ÖZET Bildiride şu konular ele alındı: ERP yazılımlarının Dünya'da ve Türkiye'deki durumu, gelişimi ve gelecek için stratejiler konusu, ardından yerli ve yabancı ERP yazılımların tanıtımı, sonra Neden ERP sorusu hakkında bilgi, ERP'nin şirketlere kattıkları yararlar, işletmeler niye bu çözüm paketini seçiyorlar, böyle bir yatırım'a yönlendiren sebepler nelerdir? Kurum yatırım yapmalı mı yapmamalı mı? ERP'ye ihtiyacı var mı, yok mu? Nasıl bir metodoloji izlenmeli? İhtiyacın belirlenmesinden başlayarak, alternatif yazılım şirketleri değerlendirilir, son seçim yapılarak uygulama ve eğitim aşamasına kadar olan şirketlerin izlemeleri gereken tüm adımlar. 11 ayrı sektör incelenmiş ve bu sektörlerde ERP seçiminde dikkat edilmesi gereken kriterler ve sektör beklenti ve özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir. GİRİŞ 21. yüzyılda şirketler rekabet güçlerini artırarak rekabet üstünlüğünü elde edebilmek, yaşanan hızlı değişimlere uyum sağlayabilmek ve müşteri potansiyelini koruma ve/veya arttırma amacıyla müşteri odaklı çalışabilmek için, bilgi teknolojileri tabanlı yeni stratejiler geliştirmek, iş akışlarını düzenlemek ve kaynaklarını (hammadde, işgücü, makine-ekipman, finansman v.b.) daha etkin ve verimli bir şekilde kullanmak zorundadırlar. Bu gereksinime cevap veren Kurumsal Kaynak Planlaması (ERP) yazılımları tüm organizasyonların odak noktası olmuştur. İşletmenin boyutu, faaliyet gösterdiği alan ne olursa olsun, temelde karşılaşan sorunlar benzerdir. Her sektörde faaliyet gösterebilen bu sistem için sektör bazında ERP seçim kuralları belirlenmesine yönelik incelemeler yapılmıştır. 2. ERP TANIMI, YAPISI VE KAPSAMI 2.1. ERP Kavramının Tanımı ERP'nin en önemli özelliği, firmanın bütün departman ve fonksiyonlarını tek bir sistem içinde birleştirmeye çalışmasıdır [1]. İhtiyaç ve beklentileri birbirinden farklı olan çok sayıda bölümün aynı bilgisayar sistemi içinde bir araya getirilmesi ve aynı bilgi tabanını paylaşması güç ancak çok faydalıdır. Diğer yandan bölümler arası entegrasyon işletme içinde dolaşan bilginin kalitesini de yükseltir. Kaliteli bilginin hızlı dolaşımı sağlandığında ise verilecek kararlar daha gerçekçi ve doğru olacaktır. ERP yazılımları farklı sektörlerin farklı ihtiyaçlarına uyum sağlayabilecek seviyede özelleştirilebilir. 2.2. ERP'nin Teknik ve Modüler Yapısı ERP'nin temel teknik özellikleri: tüm uygulama alanlarında birbiriyle tutarlı grafik arayüzleri; uygulama, veri tabanı ve sunum olmak üzere üç katmandan oluşan bir istemci/sunucu mimarisi; işletim sistemi ve donanımdan bağımsız. Solaris, Windows NT ya da Linux gibi farklı sistemler üzerine kurulabilir [2]. ERP Sisteminin temel taşları işletim sistemi, veri tabanı, ara yüz ve donanım mimarisi dir [10]. ERP sistemlerinin en önemli özelliklerinden birisi de modüler bir yapıya sahip olması ve kurumların, ihtiyaçlarına göre kendilerine uyan modülleri bünyelerine monte etmeleridir.
