Alūksnes novada karogs
Alūksnes novads atrodas Latvijas Ziemeļaustrumos - Alūksnes augstienē, un tas nav iedomājams bez paugurainajiem dabas skatiem.

Karoga diagonālais dalījums atspoguļo Alūksnes novada ģeogrāfiskās īpašības un ģeogrāfisko novietojumu - diagonāle no kreisā apakšējā stūra uz labo augšējo stūri simbolizē Ziemeļaustrumu virzienu Latvijas teritorijā, kā arī simboliski ataino Alūksnes augstieni un tās kalnu nogāzes. Augšupejošais diagonālais virziens izsaka arī izaugsmi un attīstību. Purpura krāsa simbolizē Latviju. Sarkanā krāsa heraldikā nozīmē drosmi, varonību, cēlsirdību, mīlestību. Sudraba krāsa simbolizē cildenumu un atklātību. Karoga vidū Alūksnes novada ģerbonis.[1]
