LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The last remaining year-one team member at Caesars Palace retired on Wednesday.
Benny Figgins, a blackjack dealer, received a grand, red carpet send-off at the end of his final shift with good wishes, cheers, and a limo ride home.
He says in addition to meeting stars like Frank Sinatra, Sammy David Jr. and Diana Ross, the biggest highlight was when he met his wife at Caesars in the early 1970s!
A Caesars spokesperson says Benny worked in five different departments at Caesars Palace over the decades. He's been a blackjack dealer since 1971.
Figgins received a commemorative plaque and a string of crystals from the original casino dome chandelier as gifts from Caesars' regional president, Sean McBurney.
