As you can see! You can... Regulate the water and the temperature, it uses less water then a shower, it's as effective if not more, and since it's usually place near the toilet, you can.. walk from the toilet, with you pants still down, sit, wash, and get up in less than 2 minutes. Compare that to standing up, to taking all of your clothes, showering, drying all of your lower half and then putting the clothes back on. Clearly, the faster, comfier, and simpler method.
It's actually so good, I unironically miss it every time I travel around the world!!! Am I'm not the only one. Just by looking for the picture I've found various blogs by Italians about how hard life is without a bidet!!

Are you thinking that bidets are found in public bathroom...? They're not!!! Public bathrooms are 99.99% for the liquid leakage, so... You don't need a bidet for that...
Plus if you think about it well enough... How exactly doth one clean their hole in the shower? The filth would probably flow with the water, on your feet, on your legs, on the showerhead and hands as well. Keep in mind... Uhmm... You don't touch any place of the bidet besides the front where you sit, and the... Valve? I just noticed I don't know how you call that moving part of these furnitures which are used to regulate the water so I'll just call them valves...
So what I'm saying is, it turns out it's cleaner, and that it's also easier to clean than a shower, and that it's not found in public places so only you and your family should be using it, making it as dirty as other bathroom appliances in your home!!!

Just by taking a few steps from my home, you can enter the rural town!! and look, nobody is alive here.. besides the one visiting it and some animals who are scientifically improbable; so yes! It's a SoL in rural town! Just imagine the adventure one could have there!!!!
Of note: it's 10PM, it's too dark to take a picture of the place, at the same time, it's such a scary place that not even the google maps has it documented, so all you get it a picture of the entrance for reference

Heike Monogatari I never saw... but you can at least see why I think SARU is a great studio! They're more similar to western cartoon where instead of using detailed shots with less frames of animation, have more frames with less detailed characters. Plus I love how they're pushing for a new anime look.
And yes, they produced the ainmated series of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. MAL mods don't want to add it because it's not Japanese enough while also allowing pingu in the city, which is clearly 1000 times more deserving of the spot.

Times do change! But it feels like in the past, anime wanted to be something more, with more directors pushing the medium in order to do something truly unique.
Used to be inspired by cinema and stories from all around the world, but since then, anime got more and more restricted to Japan and it lost some of the art.
Satoshi kon, Mamoru Oshii, Myazaki, Hideaki Anno, Watanabe, Yuasa Masaaki - all most known anime directors are kinda old... and no new ones have really popped up.
