I, myself, was skeptical on starting One Outs because I was in between another long running show about Baseball, Diamond no Ace, and I just didn't know at that time how vastly different the two shows were. It was only after the first season of DnA ended that I decided to give One Outs a chance and I got so indulged in it that I completed it in three days, that too holding myself off to do other stuffs too and not complete One Outs all at once. Baseball is just a platform for One Outs to showcase its immense strategic and psychological geniuses which pull the viewers in like a magnet. The ending also was very satisfying for me and at the time I finished it, it became my second best anime show that I watched.

You should watch Touhai Densetsu Akagi: Yami ni Maiorita Tensai next. It's a little bit more complicated than One Outs because its based around Mahjong but it has the exact same tension around the show like in One Outs. Akagi's Seiyuu is also the same as Tokuchi and the author of the manga One Outs actually had inspired from Akagi himself.

That's great! Tokuchi is a badass and One Outs is terrific! Have you read my review about the show?

It may count the runtime days so each episode is a day or because MyAnimeList got DDOS and a lot of the content got messed up where each anime was like 9901 episodes long. So it may not have updated that
