W-Juliet is one of the most heartfelt, outstanding and underrated mangas I have ever come across.
The story sounds like a stereotypical highschool-romance with gender bender tendencies which leads us to the assumption that the tomboyish girl will fall in love with the beautiful and popular boy, but thats not the case, at least not for most of the story.
The main part of the manga revolves around the theater club which Makoto and Ito are members of, and its basically said pretty nice to see that Emura created worlds within a fictional world. You can see that for example Swan Lake, got a total

revamp, same with Romeo and Juliet. Makoto and Ito both try to chase their dreams while for one of them it happens to become much more difficult to fullfill what they always wanted: being together and starring in theaters.
With that said its easy to say why I love this manga so much. The character develop their very own personality within the progress, they both grow up and start to live a life of their own, both try to find out whats wrong and whats right, whom to trust and whom not to. It shows us that even with circumstances in your way, that you're not always able to withstand, you always have a chance of luck. And you have to make the best of it.
A+ original story, awesome characters that will break your heart more often than you want them to, all in all, an incredible rich story.
